ANCHOR'S LAMENT

Is a multiplayer roguelike strategy game, where you as your own captain travel the thousands seas to find glory! On your way you gather a crew of exotic animals and creatures that will help you fight other captain's that stand in your way. In this world, all life is sentient.

GAMEPLAY

The game goes through different events that help you build your team. Each unit has some kind of synergy with it's placement on a 2x4 board. For example a unit might say, if a unit behind me poisons, i deal damage. When the fight starts the game follows a right to left logic with your ANCHOR Beating on each row activating your units. The Anchor follows a bpm and song and more songs can be found in the future.

Pick different units, equipment and other things through the game and make your best strategy by synergizing all the units to devastate your opponents! We have and will add more quirky off meta builds along the way to make the game truly feel like a fresh experience each time you start a new game!

EVENTS

Each event from shops to the magic siren can help you change or achieve your build. You can give items and consumables to your unit's to alter them. Items give your units new abilities and consumables make them stronger! Then for each season a new event is added! You can also modify the slots that your units are placed on to grant your units even more customization!

SEASONS

Our goal is that every other month we release a new season with new units, new events and new mechanics. Each new season will drastically change the gameplay. But as the old season rotates out, don't worry, you can still play it in our CHAOS MODE, where any player may choose any season to play against other players with the same rules. Everyone can keep playing their favorite builds for ever!

BRING YOUR GAME EVERYWHERE

Anchor's Lament requires a third party account to login, we are using the service supabase to store your accounts and all the data you save when playing. Your teams and what you purchase in game such as rewards and cosmetics. This also means that we will make the game cross platform to work on mobile devices. We love these kind of asymmetric roguelike multiplayer games but we want to keep on playing even when we are not at home. So this is a big thing for use to make it possible for everyone to be able to take the game with them everywhere!

FREE GAME

We are planning on having the game be free so as many as possible will be able to join it. The way we monetize will be through in-app purchases for new character arts, anchor arts, inventory art, background arts and other types of cosmetics. We put a lot of love and energy into this game and we love all the support we can get to keep developing awesome new content!.

DEMO INFO

The demo does not contain any profile customization, skins, or unlocks and serves as sort of a gameplay introduction to how the full game will play. By releasing the demo this way, we can focus on refining the gameplay as much as possible for the full release.
Expect a whole bunch of more units and gameplay events for the full release!
