Why Early Access?

“We chose Early Access to co-create the rest of BoobyRogue: Tumor Takedown with our players. The game is already fun, stable, and replayable, but community feedback is essential. Early Access will allow us to test balance, difficulty curves, and new hero designs directly with the community, while also adding new weapons, abilities, and bosses to make each run even more unique and challenging.”

“We expect to complete and release the full version within 6 to 8 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We aim to enrich the game with additional weapons, abilities, and bosses to increase variety and challenge. We also want to add more playable heroes with unique styles, refine progression systems, and polish visual and audio elements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is about 80% finished and fully playable.
The remaining work focuses on extending the content, refining balance, and enhancing the overall experience with community feedback.

The current Early Access version already includes all core gameplay systems, featuring a large amount of content and polish:

-50+ playable heroes, each with distinct abilities, stats, and playstyles
-4 unique bosses, each offering a different challenge and mechanics
-80+ weapons to collect, combine, and upgrade
-150+ passive and active items allowing countless build synergies
-Companions that assist the player in combat or provide strategic bonuses
-Multiple difficulty modes for both casual players and hardcore roguelike fans
-Full controller and mouse/keyboard support
-Complete soundtrack and in-game radio system, including all current tracks and themes
-Core progression systems, such as upgrades, unlocks, and replay incentives
-Polished combat system, responsive controls, and optimized performance across platforms

This version represents the complete gameplay loop from hero selection to final boss defeat, ensuring a full experience while leaving room for future growth.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“During Early Access, we’ll organize surveys to fine-tune difficulty, weapons, and abilities. Players will also be able to vote on upcoming Heroes, Monsters, Boss and additional content.”
