About This Game

Kuny is a pig who got mutated and fights for the Acornatom, a space nut that fell into the wrong hands, those of General Otto Von Squirro and his army of rabid squirrels.

Kuny will face not just the invading squirrels that messed up his farm, but also every enemy, god and force of nature that dares get in the way of him and his precious acorns.

Kuny-Kuny Hog combines frantic arcade game action with the crazyness that can only be found in bullet hell type games.

Shooting is essential but players will have to do it in both directions as enemies can appear from the front and the back (or any place really). The shield isn't only for blocking either: players can also bounce back projectiles and even whole enemies, sending them back so they blow up their teammates. Among enemy troops, sometimes a squirrel floating with a balloon will appear. These love gacha games. Their balloon keeps changing colors from red to green and vice versa. Getting the balloon while it's green will grant a random power up that lasts for a set amount of time, but grabbing it while it's red will net the player a power down, also with a random effect, like making enemies stronger or weakening players' defense until the effect fades.

Managing every gameplay mechanic at every moment is key to survive the chaos.

Each level has a main boss whose stage presents a series of challenges (usually with checkpoints in between) with dialogue scenes intersecting. The comic style panels tell the story at the start of each level, giving context to the different gameplay sections which in turn include some unique mechanics, different to the standard bullet hell gameplay.

Depending on the situation (and Kuny's abysmal luck), players will find themselves in challenges such as fleeing from an overgrown shark or fly over a hellish scape while turned into a sausage with wings. The game offers constant variety, to keep things spicy in between bullets and power ups.

Each character, enemy, attack and explosion has been hand drawn and animated by people with love, passion, and lots of humour. Many of the situations run on rule of comedy, escalating the absurdity over the game. Narration unfolds through comic panels and a series of dialogue cutscenes, with hilarious voice acting in both Spanish and English.
