How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add many monsters and variations, as well as more vehicles and get NPCs added into the game. We also are working on more features like a building system and fishing and more.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently in Alpha version, some of the current features include full open world to explore, split screen to play with up to 1 other player with no tether distance, multiple drivable vehicles, including helicopter, boat and truck.
We also have random storages setup that generate random items, some with different stats based on players level.

About This Game

Early Access

This is an early access version of my game Ruins, and is my first game I have ever worked on. I am a solo dev who has been working on this project for 8+ years now and is not finished, but would like to get player feedback for what I have so far and will continue to post updates frequently as I get more done. I would love to hear player feedback or what they would like to see in game and let me know of any major bugs and I will patch as quick as possible. Survival

Survive in a post apocalyptic world where you and everyone else got left behind as demons begin to rise and take over the landscape. Scavenge leftover goods to help you stay alive, find vehicles to move around faster and carry more, and find weapons and ammo to defend yourself with, and try to survive as long as you can.

World

Explore a full open world, no waiting or loading when traversing areas. Player can climb anything and is not limited to ladders or certain objects, most things react to being hit at high speed (Breaking/Simulating physics). Hundreds of locations to loot, dozens of POIs like military checkpoints, campsites and more, with many more being added in updates.

Vehicles

Grab a vehicle to move faster and get more loot across the vast map, vehicles include cars, helicopter and boats. Watch your gas! Vehicles use gas and take damage, so keep an eye on it so you don't get stranded somewhere you don't want to be.

Loot

Find loot to help you survive, from food to medical aid, to guns and ammo, things can be found everywhere in random storage, some items are based on player level so the player will find better gear as they level up.

Monsters

The world is dangerous but you can find plenty of guns and ammo around the map to fight off the monsters, or sneak to conserve ammo when needed. (Monster variety is currently limited, will be focusing on adding many different unique monster types with variations in future updates).

Hunting/Fishing

Grab a gun and some ammo to hunt animals around the map or find a pole to catch fish. Fish spawn in every water source but can move around, so try and find a good fishing spot.

Split-Screen

Explore with a friend on split screen or fight them for what loot they have. Players can have deathmatches around the map while trying to survive the harsh world, race each other, destroy each others vehicles and more. (Currently no tether distance, so player 2 can go anywhere they want to go without being tied to Player 1).
