About This Game

Fred is hungry.

Grow Food. Break it into bites. Push it into Fred. Turn the Plops that come out the other end back into fertilizer.

Feed Fred is an active incremental game about building a farm machine around one growing creature. Start with a Potato Planter and a Hammer. Add crops, hire Friends, cook Recipes, and improve every part of the loop while the whole mess keeps moving.

Build a feeding machine by hand.

  • Grow Potatoes, Carrots, and stranger ingredients in physical Planters.
  • Thump whole Food into bite-sized pieces Fred can actually eat.
  • Push Plops back into hungry Planters to keep production alive.
  • Hire Friends to haul, break, gather, and manage the mess.
  • Buy and improve equipment without stopping the simulation.
  • Cook Recipes that make Fred grow alarmingly fast.

Fred keeps growing.

At 500 lb, Fred produces another Fred.

The new Fred is smaller. It looks different. It eats, grows, pays, makes Plops, and eventually produces another Fred of its own.

This is good news. Your target is one trillion pounds.

Everything is in the field.

Food piles up. Coins scatter. Plops go where they should not. Freds get in the way. Use the Hammer to push the heavy parts into place while Friends keep the machine moving. Your tidy farm will become a crowded physical system with problems you can actually see.

The farm has uses for the surplus.

As the population grows, new equipment becomes available. Some machines improve the Food. Some machines make the population easier to manage. Everything on the farm is agricultural equipment, even when it does not look especially agricultural.

Feed Fred starts as a crude little farm and quietly becomes something else: dry psychological horror about making one biological system efficient. The machinery is practical. Fred is still hungry.

The free demo contains the first complete escalation—from one hungry Fred to a working population—and continues as a sandbox after its ending.
