Nemesis - Capital Defence is the fourth Nemesis expansion for WARNO, voted into existence by the community. Two unique battlegroups, earmarked to safeguard their respective nation’s capital during the Cold War, form the centerpiece: NATO’s UK’s Home Defence Region London versus the Warsaw Pact’s Soviet 2-ya Tamanskaya Gvardeyskaya Motostrelkovaya Diviziya.

Nemesis - Capital Defence features two brand-new WARNO Divisions with a host of new units, weapons, vehicles, and more. Customize your Nemesis battlegroup and take them to war in WARNO’s single-player Skirmish, Ranked, and online Multiplayer.

Home Defence Region London

UK’s Home Defence Region London amalgamates several British Army units deployed in and around the nation’s capital. A hodgepodge of defensive forces with the nucleus formed by the Guards battalions of the 56th (London) Infantry Brigade, plus reserve regiments, formations drawn from Northern Ireland, War Material Reserve-fielding units, and elite SAS counter-terror squads.

The Home Defence Region London features new units such as the FV1612 HUMBER FFR, CENTURION MK.13, ground radar-equipped FOX ZB298, BEDFORD TM supply trucks, ceremonial GUARDS infantry, RIFLES PATROL squads deploying from Northern Ireland, black-clad SAS G special forces transportable in CHINOOK HC.1B, and more. Artillery ranges from venerable World War 2-era QF 25-pdr 88mm and BL 5,5-inch 140mm, to more modern guns including L5 105mm and even state-of-the-art AS.90 155mm self-propelled pieces. Other vehicles include the heavy BLOODHOUND MK.2 SAM, STARSTREAK LML, A.109A helicopter, and HARRIER GR.5.

2-ya Tamanskaya Gvardeyskaya Motostrelkovaya Diviziya

The Soviet 2-ya Tamanskaya Gvardeyskaya Motostrelkovaya Diviziya or 2nd Guards Tamanskaya Motorized Rifle Division was an elite formation protecting the communist capital of the USSR, Moscow, against threats both foreign and potentially domestic. The division was highly trained and lavishly equipped with officers handpicked for their loyalty, commanding the latest models of tanks and air superiority fighters.

The Soviet 2-ya Tamanskaya GMD features new units such as the MAZ-535 heavy supply truck, GVARDEITSY special infantry, T-72B1 Obr. 84 main battle tank and the unique state-of-the-art T-80U obr. 1989 with Kontakt-5 ERA, RAZV. BTR-80 recon APCs, SIGINT-capable R-330 RAMA trucks, new MiG-23P, Su-15TM and advanced MiG-29 9.13 fighters.
