About This Game

You are not the goddess. You are her dumbest duck.

I Thalassa is a single-player underwater adventure on an alien ocean planet. Thalassa, the machine-goddess of the deep, rebuilt you from the scraps the sea gives back. Your job: find the scattered memories of Dr. Shinoise, the scientist who created her, and bring them home.

What you do

• Explore five regions of a living ocean: a ship graveyard, a forest of giant mushrooms, a buried laboratory, an abyssal rock field and the reef around Thalassa's lab. Swim, boost, ride the currents, leap out of the water like a dolphin.
• Pilot five submarines. Refuel and repair them under the floating rocks, arm them, and take them where swimming can't.
• Build an underwater base with modules, a refinery and oxygen generators, so you can breathe deeper for longer.
• Recruit duck bodyguards: fighters that escort you in formation, collectors that gather for you, and kamikazes that... you'll see.
• Survive the deep. Oxygen runs out faster the deeper you go, food keeps you alive, and the Opposition sends waves of sentinels after you.
• Trade with the other dumb ducks, ride sea creatures, feed the fish, clean the reef.

The story

Seven chapters of memory fragments, scattered across the ocean. With every one you bring back, Thalassa remembers a little more of the man who made her, and of the day the lab was destroyed.
