About This Game

Hell and Madness is an open-world adventure game inspired by early Atari games, with a retro aesthetic and a soundtrack composed on a Famitracker. In Hell and Madness, you control a 14-year-old boy named Stuart Cooper who traverses levels filled with keys, enemies, and doors. The goal is to find every key in each level to escape each dungeon. There are a total of six dungeons, and there's no save system, so with only six lives, you must complete the game in a single afternoon.

There are no other modes; this is the first version and therefore doesn't include additional content. However, future updates may add new modes or other features.

The mechanics are simple: the main character (Stuart) can move around using the arrow keys, hit a ball with his paddle, and illuminate dark areas with his flashlight.

Press the Z key to select the paddle, and X to select the flashlight. To use the selected tool, press SPACE.

Story:

Welcome to Dorry Land. It's 1972, and the town is going through a serious crisis: disappearances, murders, and paranoid people awaiting the end of the world, the ultimate punishment for all humanity. But this year... 1972, was the year a cursed spirit appeared, cursed the town, and sent infernal creatures to kill people.

The case of Stuart Cooper in 1972 was one of the most tragic in history. On the night of November 2nd, he was alone at home when he was attacked by several of these creatures. He fled his house and sought refuge outside the town. To this day, it's unknown whether he survived. Some legends claim he was run over shortly afterward, while others say he changed his identity and started a new life in another town. This case will likely remain a mystery, and perhaps we'll never know what became of him...
