What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access allows us to build D.I.G. - Deep In Galaxy together with the community from the very beginning.
The game is based on complex systems — procedural worlds, resource extraction, risk–reward exploration, progression, and multiplayer mechanics — and these systems require real player feedback to reach their full potential.

By launching in Early Access, we can openly test new biomes, mining tools, and galaxy events, while improving balance, performance, and cooperative gameplay based on how players actually interact with the world.
Our goal is to shape a deep and evolving sci-fi experience, and Early Access gives us the opportunity to develop it transparently and iteratively with the players.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect D.I.G. - Deep In Galaxy to remain in Early Access for approximately 12–18 months.
This timeframe may change depending on the scope of new features and the amount of feedback we receive.

During Early Access, we plan to expand the galaxy with new regions, introduce additional tools and vehicles, refine AI behavior, improve co-op systems, and add more extraction-survival scenarios. We want to ensure that the final version represents the full vision of the game and delivers a polished, stable, content-rich experience.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version of D.I.G.: Deep In Galaxy to offer a larger, more diverse, and more polished experience.
Our long-term goals include expanding the galaxy with new regions and biomes, adding additional extraction scenarios, introducing more tools, weapons, vehicles and may beenemies.

We also aim to improve progression systems, deepen co-op interactions, and enhance overall stability, optimization, and visual quality as development continues.
The final version is intended to feel more content-rich, balanced, and fully aligned with the vision of a dangerous, evolving sci-fi frontier.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of D.I.G. - Deep In Galaxy includes the core gameplay loop: exploration, resource extraction, mining systems, emerging threats, and the risk–reward decision-making that defines each expedition.
Players can explore procedurally generated environments, gather valuable resources, upgrade equipment, and complete extraction missions while facing environmental hazards.

The game is playable, stable, and contains enough content to represent the foundation of the experience, but it is still actively evolving.
Some features, biomes, tools, enemies, multiplayer elements, and progression systems are in early stages and will continue to expand and improve throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to increase the price as development progresses and new content and features are added, including after Early Access.

Early Access players will get the complete experience at a lower price for supporting the game early.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community throughout the entire Early Access period by gathering feedback, suggestions, and bug reports across Steam discussions, social platforms, and our official Discord server.
Player experience will directly influence balancing decisions, new content priorities, and improvements to core systems such as mining tools, enemy behavior, progression, and co-op features.

We aim to maintain open communication, share development updates, and test new mechanics with the community before they are fully implemented.
Our goal is to shape D.I.G. - Deep In Galaxy together with the players and ensure the final experience reflects how the community actually interacts with the game.”

About This Game

D.I.G. - Deep In Galaxy is a co-op action survival game where death is permanent, resources are scarce, and the corporation owns your life.

You play as a condemned prisoner forced to work as a deep-space miner on hostile, uncharted planets. Each mission drops your crew onto a procedurally generated world filled with extreme environmental hazards.

Your goal is simple: reach your mining quota and return alive.

How you achieve it is not.

Explore dangerous biomes, extract rare minerals, manage your stamina, temperature, oxygen, and radiation levels while your equipment slowly degrades. Every expedition becomes a high-risk calculation of how much deeper you’re willing to go before returning to the ship.

But miners don’t survive on salary alone.

Any resources you steal beyond your quota can be sold on the black market aboard the ship. Use illegal earnings to upgrade your tools, craft survival modules.

Just remember: if the corporation discovers your side business, you’ll be executed on the spot.

The game features:

• Procedurally generated planets with unique hazards, biomes, events, and resources.

• Co-op gameplay for up to 6 players, where teamwork determines survival.

• Mining and extraction mechanics with risks increasing the deeper you go.

• Upgradeable tools and equipment unlocked through legal and illegal means.

• Persistent progression tied to your character, ship modules, and black-market upgrades.

• High-stakes missions where loss of gear — and life — is permanent.

• Dynamic anomalies that affect the environment, and your survival strategy.

• A corporate dystopian sci-fi setting where you are expendable… unless you prove your value.

Your only objective is survival.

Your only enemy is the galaxy itself.

Your only hope lies in digging deeper — and escaping before the corporation buries you forever.
