Zhu Erdan, a poor scholar who passed the imperial examination, found his home increasingly strange after his success - his wife noticed that her reflection in the mirror looked unfamiliar, and strange phenomena occurred frequently in the mansion. All clues pointed to a mysterious encounter with a fairy in the dead of night...
