What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I'm very pleased with the current state of the game but I'd like to get feedback from the gaming community and get a stronger idea of how the game can be improved and expanded.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“For about 1 year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“There are currently six pathways or "runs" the player can traverse when saving Snuffles, with three difficulty options. I'd like to make more runs and add a wider variety of obstacles or interactive objects in the levels. I'd also like to expand on the visual themes - there are plenty already but as an artist it's something I enjoy doing.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is already playable, I haven't encountered any major problems. I can speed-run the game in about 30 minutes, but I imagine for the new player it would take about 1 hour. There are 27 levels to traverse and 6 boss fights - the boss fights are similar with different layouts and obstacle arrangements. These levels are grouped into 'runs' and the runs have 3 difficulty levels - cosy, normal, and nightmare. There are 2 cosy runs each with 4 levels and a boss fight. There are 3 normal runs each with 6 levels and a boss fight. The nightmare run is one very challenging level plus a boss fight. There are 12 different visual styles used in the game. The player must run and jump through each level and activate the end flag to proceed. On completion of a run there is a short cinematic to celebrate. Obstacles that you must avoid or interact with include...
A spikey creature you can't touch.
A launch pad to help you gain extra height or distance.
A fist that crushes you if you are beneath it at the wrong moment.
Timed proximity mines - make sure you get out of the way when they explode.
Stationary pink stars that you must not touch.
Flaming balls that you must avoid.
Moving platforms to help you across the level.
Boxes that open and fire projectiles.
Flaming spinning bars that you must avoid.
On some levels a drone will follow you and shoot projectiles at you.
A tower that fires projectiles that you must destroy with a red switch.
Timed barriers that you must jump through when they aren't glowing.
Barriers that need to be deactivated by a nearby key.
And rockets that you must launch when you fight the boss on the last level.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to increase the price when I ship more levels and obstacles/foes. The game currently has 33 levels (including the boss levels), when the game exceeds 99 levels I intend to increase the price by approximately 80%.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“My plan is to respond to all the feedback and build a road map that the community can influence. I would also like to challenge the platforming community with new levels that are hard to complete.”

This game is a solo project by myself, Bryn, and I would value your feedback if you play the game. I would also love to know if you made it through the nightmare level.
