ORIGIN STORY OF THE TetrX

THE CODEMAKERS.

LEGENDS FROM BEFORE TIME

"Before the first star ever burned, before matter or light had names, before the ticking of time itself… there was the Auric Order—a race older than physics, older than causality, older than the concept of “before.” They drifted in the Primordial Expanse, a realm of pure potential where realities had not yet been born and the laws of existence slept unborn within the void.

The Auric Order were architects of creation. To them, universes were not accidents but artworks, vast living canvases on which they experimented with form, energy, consciousness, and fate. Their purpose was simple yet unfathomable:
to seed new realities and watch what life might learn when given the freedom to evolve.

THE ENGINE OF CREATION

After aeons of refinement, the Auric Order built their greatest invention: The Caelus Engine, a cosmic-scale machine capable of igniting entire universes—Big Bang events initiated through perfect orchestration of energy and possibility.

It was a machine not just gears and metal, but also a lattice of metaphysical components—each a rune of reality, each a law unto itself. It could weave constants, sculpt dimensions, breathe entropy, and set the arrow of time into motion like a conductor raising their baton.

With the Caelus Engine, the Auric Order created countless universes, each more intricate than the last.

But then came the Final Experiment. The one meant to surpass all others. This universe. Our universe.

THE CATACLYSM OF BIRTH

When the Auric Order activated the Caelus Engine for the final time, the Expanse shuddered. The unformed cosmos swirled with unprecedented complexity—too much complexity.

Something happened that no Auric had foreseen.

As the Engine ignited the singularity, the infinite energies of creation surged backward through the device. A chain reaction tore through its lattice, shattering it into 30,000 fragments—each one containing a fundamental aspect of the Engine’s power.

Those fragments were hurled outward into the newborn universe, carried on the first tidal waves of expansion. Each fragment became hidden within galaxies, inside stars, beneath planets, embedded in the quantum fabric itself.

The Auric Order—caught in the shock-wave of the detonation—vanished. Whether they were annihilated, transformed, or scattered like their creation is unknown.

What is known is this: When the Caelus Engine broke, it wove its pieces into the very structure of reality. The universe as we know it is full of subtle anomalies—impossible physics, latent energies, inexplicable phenomena—all remnants of the Engine’s shattered components.

THE MISSION

Countless civilizations have risen and fallen, unaware of the hidden relics slumbering around them. But some have awakened to the truth. Whispers surface in ancient star-maps, encrypted transmissions, lost artifacts humming with unnatural power. All point to one undeniable revelation:

The 33,333 engine fragments are still out there.

if they are found, the Caelus Engine could be rebuilt.

Rebuilt to understand our origins. Rebuilt to command creation itself. Rebuilt to open a path to the lost Auric Order—if they still exist beyond the veil of our universe.

You are part of the expedition tasked with the impossible:

Find the fragments. Recover the lost pieces of the Caelus Engine. Rediscover the power that forged existence itself.

For scattered across this vast universe lie the key to creation—and the universe, aware of its own birth, is waiting to see if you dare to claim it."

And thus the 'TetrX 360 - Eons of Time' adventure begins...

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

While developing the game we used various AI software to generate background images for our levels. Overall, we created more than 20,000 image out of which we selected the ones to be used in this first game release. We then further edited these / combined them in a photo editor to create the final background renderings seen in the game. Some of these images are also visible on the Steam Store page. However, the game itself does not use on-the-fly generative AI while the game is running. All AI images were pre-rendered during the development phase.

We also used AI to generate background music for all levels. We create over two hundred hours of such music, and then edited these to better suite our needs. The game itself does not contain any real time generative AI for music.
