What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“DJ Life Simulator is entering Early Access because the core experience is already playable and provides a substantial amount of content, but we believe the game can become significantly better through continued development and direct feedback from the community.

Our goal is to create the most complete and accessible DJ simulation and learning experience possible. During Early Access, we plan to expand the career mode with additional venues, chapters, challenges, lessons, customization options, music, controller support, and improvements to the overall progression and presentation.

Player feedback will be especially important because DJ Life Simulator supports different play styles and hardware setups, including mouse and keyboard as well as real USB/MIDI DJ controllers. Feedback from players will help us identify usability issues, improve controller compatibility, balance the progression and scoring systems, refine the tutorials, fix bugs, and decide which features and lessons should receive the highest priority.

We have an active community where players can share feedback, report bugs, and describe their experiences with different DJ controllers. We are committed to regularly updating the game throughout Early Access and continuing development until DJ Life Simulator reaches the level of quality, content, stability, and polish planned for the full release.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“3 Months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The game will continue to receive frequent updates with new content and features.

Career Mode: 9 Missions and 3 Stages (Full Game: 18 Missions and 6 Stages)
DJ Academy Mode: 13 Lessons (Full Game: 20 Lessons)
Clothing Store: T-shirts, jackets, shoes, and glasses (Full Game: Hats, accessories, and many more exclusive outfits)
Current controller features: volume, crossfader, EQ, master volume, BPM slider, jog adjust, loops, and filters (Full Game: Beat FX and audio output through the DJ controller)
We are also expanding the list of supported USB DJ devices as the community helps us by providing feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already offers a complete and playable career mode with multiple venues, progression, scoring, unlockable content, and dozens of lessons that teach real-world DJ techniques. Players can learn beatmatching, phrasing, EQ mixing, harmonic mixing, loops, effects, transitions, crowd reading, track selection, and many other professional DJ fundamentals. The game supports both mouse & keyboard and real USB/MIDI DJ controllers, allowing players to practice using the same techniques they would use on professional equipment. Current features include: Career Mode with multiple clubs and progression DJ Academy with interactive lessons Realistic DJ mixing mechanics Harmonic Mixing (Camelot Wheel) Music import (MP3/WAV) Controller support for Pioneer DJ devices and many other MIDI controllers Character customization Mini-games and performance challenges Crowd reaction and progression systems While the game already provides many hours of gameplay and educational content, additional venues, lessons, game mechanics, music, customization options, and quality-of-life improvements are planned throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually increase the price as we add new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have a Discord community where everyone is welcome to share feedback, report bugs, and test different DJ controllers, making players an essential part of shaping future features and content.”

About This Game

About the Game

DJ Life Simulator is the first simulation game that doesn't just let you play as a DJ, it teaches you how to become one in real life using the same techniques employed by professional DJs.

Built on a solid technical and educational foundation, the game recreates the real fundamentals of professional DJing.

You can play using a mouse and keyboard or connect a compatible USB/MIDI DJ controller for an authentic mixing experience, just like using real equipment. Check the "Compatibility" section below to see the list of supported controllers.

The game only supports importing music in MP3 and WAV formats. Other audio formats (such as FLAC, M4A, AAC, AIFF, and others) are not supported yet.

Every mechanic was designed to be applicable outside the game. Here, you don't just play, you learn, practice, and grow as a real DJ.

Compatibility

DJ Life Simulator supports a wide range of MIDI-compatible DJ controllers.

Pioneer DJ (AlphaTheta) controllers work plug-and-play, with no configuration required. Controllers from Serato, Hercules, Numark, and supported Traktor models are also compatible and only require a one-time MIDI mapping or setup.

Check the compatibility table below to see the current list of tested devices.

If your controller isn't listed, download the free demo and give it a try. If you need any assistance, our community on Discord is always happy to help.

Please note: Controller support is still under active development during Early Access. Core mixing features are fully supported, but some hardware-specific functions—such as headphone cue (pre-listening), Performance Pads, and Beat FX—are not yet available. These features are planned for future updates.

Career Mode: From House Parties to Massive Festivals

Start your journey at small parties and work your way up to massive festival stages.

Complete missions, earn money, gain fans, unlock new gigs, and build your reputation as a rising DJ.

Your progression reflects the real growth of a DJ: bigger events require better technique, better Track selection, and a stronger ability to read the dancefloor.

The better you perform, the faster your career progresses.

You will also face several Minigame challenges based on the difficulties DJs experience, helping you develop your attention and multitasking skills!

Performance Statistics

At the end of each Set, receive a detailed analysis of your performance.

Analyze:

• Transition quality
• Beat accuracy
• Completed missions
• Most used effects
• Technical mistakes

The system shows exactly where you improved and where you still need to get better, helping you grow with every session.

Dynamic Crowd: Learn to Read the Dancefloor

The crowd in DJ Life Simulator is not just a background animation. It is alive and reactive.

Each person on the dancefloor has musical preferences based on the clothing styles they wear.

Play the right Tracks to keep the energy high, experiment to win over different types of people, and truly learn how professional DJs read the dancefloor.

The crowd's reaction directly reflects your technical and musical decisions through their dancing and the aura indicators.

Your Style, Your Journey

Customize your DJ to reflect your identity by fully customizing the body and clothing using the money earned from gigs.

Import Your Own Music (MP3 and WAV)

Import your own music to create custom sets and practice with the tracks you already know.

Important: The game only supports audio files in MP3 and WAV formats.

You can:

• Import individual MP3 or WAV tracks from your computer
• Import an entire folder containing MP3 or WAV tracks
• Import your Rekordbox XML library (the referenced tracks must also be in MP3 or WAV)

We have a tutorial on our YouTube channel.
