This is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game. Play a 3-minute game of hide-and-seek in an abandoned school at midnight. With only the beam of a flashlight to guide them through the darkness, the children must play KAKUREONI and bring the Ritual of Reincarnation to an end.

KAKUREONI is a fast-paced asymmetrical horror game where the Children hide and the Oni (Seekers) hunts them down in intense 3-minute matches.

A mysterious third presence—neither human nor Oni—roams the map, making every match unpredictable.

Your only lifelines are the beam of a flashlight and the voices of your friends over a walkie-talkie. Read the shadows, listen for danger, stay hidden, and make your escape.

This is the story of children spirited away from their world, struggling to find their way back home.

◆ Asymmetrical Multiplayer Horror: A deadly survival game where the Hider (children) must escape from the overwhelmingly powerful seeker (Oni).

◆ Team Up with Walkie-Talkies: The Children can communicate with their teammates at any time. But beware—if the Oni is nearby, your conversations can be overheard...

◆ A Third Threat: Ghosts roam the map as a third presence, siding with the Oni. Use it to your advantage to gain a powerful ally.

◆ Getting Caught Isn’t the End: Even after being captured, there are still ways to help your teammates.

Coordinate with Your Teammates Using Walkie-Talkies

In KAKUREONI, children can communicate with each other using walkie-talkies.

“Over here!” “Watch out!” — calling out to your teammates and work together to survive.

But be careful—if the Oni is nearby, it can hear everything you're saying.

Buy Mysterious Dagashi Snacks

Before each match, players can visit the dagashi shop and buy snacks together.

The old lady sells all kinds of mysterious dagashi, each with its own unique effect.

Use them at the right moment, and you can turn the tide of the match in your favor!

Ghosts Roaming the School

The school is haunted by far more than just the Children and the Oni. Countless ghosts wander its halls.

These spirits are allies of the Oni, interfering with the Children and making survival even more difficult.

The Children can reveal nearby ghosts using Spirit Vision, but the Oni can see them at all times, giving it a dangerous advantage.
