What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to shape Random Realm with players. Early Access lets us iterate quickly on net code, balance, and feel using real feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Roughly 12–24 months. We’ll exit when the core feature set feels complete and stable, which may shift based on feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“1.0 targets more maps, weapons/gadgets, and modes, plus matchmaking/progression, better onboarding, and overall polish (performance, accessibility). Scope may evolve as we learn.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“A playable alpha: core movement/shooting, revive loop, online matches, and one test arena. Content is limited and you may encounter bugs, balance issues, and occasional network hiccups.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“During Early Access, Random Realm will be free to play. As we approach 1.0, we may introduce optional in-game purchases and/or set a base price—any change will be announced well in advance, and players keep their progress and items.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“At the start of Early Access, Random Realm will be fully downloadable and playable in its base form. I plan to update the game frequently with new features, balance changes, and quality-of-life improvements.

The community will play a key role in guiding the direction of development. Feedback on the Steam forums and our official Discord server will directly influence gameplay adjustments and the features we prioritize next.

Early Access is an open and transparent process: I’ll share regular development updates, listen to community suggestions, and adapt the game together with players to shape the final version.”
