Low Level Hunters is a low-poly, cold war era helicopter combat flight simulator.

Pilot Cobra attack helicopter, Huey II utility helicopter, or MD-500 Defender by directly interacting with switches and control devices using mouse, joysticks, and VR controllers to defeat ruthless 'Hijonstan' rebels as a 'Serimosian' army pilot!

Low Level Hunters is a Cold-War era helicopter combat simulator reminiscent of 90s MS-DOS flight simulators with modern mix of Fully interactable cockpits, TrackIR, and Feature-complete VR mode.

Pilot AH-1F Cobra, UH-1H Huey II, and MD-500 defender set in Cold-War timelines of late 1970s to early 1980s, fighting against enemies of unknown 3rd world nations.

'Low Level Hunters' features sufficiently realistic helicopter flight model.

It's not as hard to fly as real-life helicopters, which have fearsome vortex-ring-state and other unfriendly effects, but there are still some characteristics of the helicopter including Torque effect, Ground effect, Dissymmetry of lift, over torque, and blade stall.

Careful manipulations of Cyclic, Collective, and Anti-torque pedals are required to pilot the helicopter in this game. However there are also simpler 'Arcade' flight mode available for novice players.

Play in anyway you like

Low Level Hunters offers 3 different styles of play: Flatscreen, Track IR, and Virtual Reality.

Play in flatscreen monitor with mouse and some joysticks or keyboard inputs, with various camera view functions to aid your limited control of camera view. Or bring in Track-IR helmet tracker to have more freedom of view while concentrating your hands on helicopter controls.

Better yet, Experience the game in VR and directly interact with the cockpit using your hand. you can fully operate the helicopter with VR hands alone, but you can still bring your joysticks to use.

Interact with cockpit

Every switches of the helicopter is fully interactable using Mouse, keybinds, or VR controllers. Start up your helicopter, activate equipments, configure armaments, and engage enemies without needing to memorize tons of commands!

Note that in flatscreen, certain commands like Cyclic and collective stick functions are still need to be binded for your own likings. But in VR, everything is fully controllable without the need of prior configurations.

Stop the ruthless Hijonstan rebels!

The war had broke out between the 3rd world nations called 'Serimosian' and 'Hijonstan'. As a Serimosian Army helicopter squadron leader, you must take on army helicopters and command your wingmen to victory.

Cooperating with Conrad Copilot / Gunner inside your helicopter and other wingmen through COMM orders is crucial to successfully complete tough missions of fighting Hijonstan.

What are the differences from 'Defender Patrol'?

Low Level Hunters is a sequel to the critically acclaimed flight sim, 'Hijong Park's Defender Patrol', evolving into a feature complete package with tons of more stuffs and improvements. Including:

• 2 completely new flyable helicopters, AH-1F Cobra attack helicopter and UH-1H Huey II. Cobra delivers a lot more firepower than defender with 4 armament pylons and helmet-tracked M197 20mm cannon, and Huey will be a clunky, but steady assault helicopter carrying troops and firing rockets or guns.
  
• More varied Units to fight including the fearsome Radar-guided Surface-to-Air missile systems, ATGM capable T-64B tank, BRDM-2 with several choice of weapon, 9K33 Osa, Patrol boats, and more.
  
• Pilot Career feature and the randomized campaigns of destroying Hijonstan rebels as a helicopter pilot of Serimosian Army. the mission generator from Defender Patrol will move to 'Quick game' mode, unrelated to the campaign's progression.
  
• Smart AI copilot that had evolved into Conrad CP/G, capable of utilizing TSU, turret, and countermeasures to aid the player.
  
  
• Pilot field-of-view based target acquisition feature making the target acquisition more intuitive, with pad lock option for flatscreen mode.

Unlike Defender Patrol, which had pretty limited scope from start with not much scalability, Low Level Hunters is going to have long term support for post-launch updates and DLCs.

When will Low Level Hunters be available?

We want to avoid doing early access and deliver finished product from day one. But we're planning to do a limited demo play of Low Level Hunters at the near end of development to receive feedbacks and test the campaign systems.

We expect that day will be around late 2026 or early 2027, and we aim to release 1.0 of Low Level Hunters within 2027.
