What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The main reason for the Early Access release is to allow players to enjoy Towers of Scale as soon as possible, without having to wait for all the stages to be finished. Furthermore, as the game is expected to rise in the complexity I plan to be increasingly reliant on the community feedback to properly balance the progression and difficulty of this game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“There are too many variables involved for me to be able to predict for how long will the Early Access period will last. That being said, I do not believe it will end before the end of 2027.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final release is planned to have 6 chapters of 6 stages each, as well as 8 bonus stages, for a total of 44 stages. Each new chapter is planned to introduce a new major mechanic, and many stages are expected to introduce new minor mechanics. That being said the final scope of the game is not yet set in stone, and the final stage count may either increase or decrease.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of the game is fully playable with all core mechanics implemented. There are currently two chapters fully implemented, as well as three bonus stages - for a total of 15 stages total. Maxing out the currently available progression should take up at least a good few dozen hours of playtime.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As the final scope of the game is not yet set in stone, I do not find it fair to price the game as if it had all the currently planned content. For this reason, I do plan to slightly increase the price of the game upon reaching certain development milestones.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community feedback will be mainly used to balance the progression and difficulty curves, as well as adjust the new stages after they are released. It will be also used to determine which quality of life and accessibility features will have to be implemented.

The main communication channel with the playerbase is a Discord server, where I will be discussing the development of the game, showing ideas for future content and following the progress of active players.”
