Why Early Access?

“I have a vision for Ranchbound, but I believe player feedback is very important. During the demo period, players already shared many great ideas and useful suggestions. I want to continue that collaboration during Early Access, while the game is still flexible and can meaningfully change based on feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I currently expect Ranchbound to stay in Early Access for around 6 months to 1 year, depending on feedback and development progress.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include more content, more maps, additional features, better balance, more polish, quality-of-life improvements, and expanded ranch management systems. Multiplayer is planned to appear during Early Access, but it should be more developed and polished by the full release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is fully playable and includes both core gameplay and side systems. Compared to the demo that was available before, during, and after Steam Fest, the difference is huge. Players who were able to spend over 5 hours in the demo and enjoy it should not be disappointed here. I listened closely to community feedback and added many quality-of-life improvements, along with new content and improvements across the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may increase after Early Access, as the full version is planned to include more content, features, polish, and overall value.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to launch a community Discord server together with the Early Access release. I want to listen to players, talk with them directly, and stay in close contact, because player feedback is extremely valuable to me.

I also plan to add an option to send feedback and report bugs directly from the game, especially for players who prefer not to use Discord.”

About This Game

In Ranchbound you take charge of your own ranch. Raise cattle, keep your herd healthy, and turn a few head of cattle into a powerful herd. Hire cowboys, assign their duties, and decide how your ranch will grow as new opportunities and risks appear on the frontier.

The world around you is alive: settler towns and Native tribes live their own lives, and your actions can improve their situation or make it much worse. You can invest in local businesses to shape the region’s economy, or focus simply on your own profits.

Key Features:

  • Grow your herd:

    Start with just a few head of cattle, raise newborn calves into mature cows, and build a powerful herd that becomes the foundation of your ranch.

  • Hire cowboys:

    Recruit cowboys and assign them to different duties around the ranch, taking their individual skills and needs into account.

  • Expand your ranch:

    As your herd grows, develop your ranch to manage your livestock more efficiently.

  • Build economic influence:

    Buy land, invest in railroads and other local businesses.

  • Survival elements:

    Keep an eye on your cowboys’ fatigue and morale, and remember that their work deserves a wage. Do not neglect your herd either - disease can devastate your cattle if you are not prepared.
