Catch These Hands turns your webcam into a motion-tracking engine. No VR needed. Punch liquid enemies with 1:1 physics, rig 3D avatars, and pilot ships using your body. It’s an experimental sandbox for fitness fans and tinkerers looking to ditch the controllers.

Was die Entwickler zu sagen haben:

Wozu Early Access?

„We aren't just building a game; we are building a platform to test the absolute limits of webcam tracking.

Think of this project as a Physics Laboratory. The core technology (lag-free, 1:1 body tracking) is ready, but we need the community to help us decide what to build with it. Is it a fighting game? A VTuber tool? A motion-controlled rollercoaster? By launching in Early Access, we can treat the game as a living sandbox, releasing new 'Experiments' regularly and letting players decide which mechanics become full game modes.“

Wie lange wird dieses Spiel ungefähr den Early Access-Status haben?

„We expect the 'Lab' phase to last approximately 6–12 months. This timeline allows us to roll out our planned experimental modules (like the Procedural Rollercoaster) and refine the physics based on the chaos players create.“

Wie soll sich die Vollversion von der Early Access-Version unterscheiden?

„The full version will be a collection of polished 'Motion Reality' experiences.

While Early Access focuses on introducing raw mechanics (Punching, posing, leaning), the full version aims to flesh these out into complete loops. We plan to expand the Avatar Mode into a full-featured streaming tool, turn the Combat Prototype into a structured challenge with leaderboards, and add entirely new experimental modes based on community requests.“

Was ist der derzeitige Stand der Early Access-Version?

„currently features two main experiments:

The Combat Experiment: A physics-based endless brawler where your real hands control the in-game fists 1:1. Fight waves of liquid-metal enemies that react dynamically to your punch velocity.

The Avatar Experiment (Beta): A full-body tracking sandbox. Control a humanoid rig with your head, hands, and torso movements. (Currently functioning as a tech demo/mirror, with plans to evolve into a streaming utility).“

Wird dieses Spiel während und nach Early Access unterschiedlich viel kosten?

„Yes. We have launched at a low 'entry fee' for early adopters who want to support the tech. As we add more robust tools and game modes, the price will likely increase to reflect the value of the full package.“

Wie werden Sie versuchen die Community in den Entwicklungsprozess miteinzubeziehen?

„We are treating our players as 'Lab Partners.' We will be releasing experimental updates sometimes raw and unpolished—to see what sticks.

We specifically want to hear from two groups:

Gamers: Which physics interactions are fun? What feels broken?

Creators/VTubers: What features do you need for the Avatar mode to be useful for your streams?

Your feedback will directly dictate which experiments get cut and which ones get a full coat of paint.“

WELCOME TO THE WEBCAM LAB

No VR headset. No controllers. Just you and a webcam.

Catch These Hands is an Experimental Physics Sandbox that turns your body into the game engine. Inspired by the creative freedom of games like Garry's Mod and Besiege, we are ditching the traditional "linear game" structure to bring you a collection of motion-controlled experiments.

Using advanced MediaPipe AI, we track your hands, head, and torso in real-time with zero perceived lag. If you can move it in real life, you can move it in the game.

Note: Place Webcam on top of Monitor for best experience :)

THE CURRENT EXPERIMENTS - That Get Updated Frequently!

EXPERIMENT 01: THE PHYSICS BRAWLER

This isn't a "press X to punch" game. Your hands are physical objects in the world.

  • 1:1 Velocity Tracking: The harder you punch in real life, the harder you hit in-game.

  • Liquid Metal Enemies: Fight waves of liquid like enemies and react dynamically to your strikes.

  • Fitness That Fights Back: Because every punch is real, your workout is real. Includes an integrated calorie estimator.

EXPERIMENT 02: THE AVATAR RIG

Turn your webcam into a poor man's motion capture suit.

  • Full Body Proxy: Control a 3D character with your head rotation, hand position, and torso bending.

  • Online PVP (Coming Very very Soon)

EXPERIMENT 03: THE ENDLESS EXPANSE

Use your head movement to control the space ship

  • Smooth Tracking

  • Look to Steer: Use real-time head-tracking to pilot ships and vehicles through the terrain with your own physical movements.

  • Online Integration (Coming Soon): We are working on bringing your friends into the Expanse for co-op exploration and multiplayer sandbox chaos!

FUTURE EXPERIMENTS (The Roadmap)

We are constantly adding new "Toys" to the sandbox. Upcoming Experiments include:

  • Shooting Range

  • Ragdoll Logic: Testing semi-active ragdolls for hilarity and chaos.

  • Technical Updates: Better UI and accesible settings for different webcam setups.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

  • The Tinkerer: You like seeing what tech can do and don't mind the occasional physics glitch.

  • The Fitness Gamer: You miss the Kinect era and want a reason to sweat.

Systemanforderungen

    Mindestanforderungen:
    • Prozessor: i7-1195G7
    • Arbeitsspeicher: 8 GB RAM
    • Grafik: Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7
    • Zusätzliche Anmerkungen: Webcam is required
