What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Odd Eggs is all about seeing what players can build with a little imagination and a lot of cats. Early Access gives us a chance to develop the game alongside the people playing it. We want to hear what you enjoy, where things get confusing, and what you would like to see next, then use that feedback to guide improvements and future updates. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Odd Eggs to remain in Early Access for at least six months. That is an estimate rather than a fixed release date. Our goal for the full release is a more complete, polished experience, with stable online play. The timing will depend on development progress and player feedback. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the world of Odd Eggs with more places to build, more ways to get to know your residents, and more things to do together. Areas we would like to develop include:

- Connected worlds with their own buildings and technology trees.
- Individual rooms you can design and decorate for your residents.
- Trips to other worlds, with residents bringing home local specialties and photos for their albums.
- An expanded receptive field on the main island, with more connections to systems such as the primary visual layer.
- More perception systems and activities that build on the primary visual layer.
- A fuller achievement system, with goals for players who enjoy an extra challenge.
- More ways to visit friends, work together, and help each other's islands grow.

These are our current development plans. Their scope and timing may change as we work on the game and hear from players. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the complete main island questline, along with optional activities and online visits and cooperation with friends. You can currently explore:

- Production chains for more than 50 goods, working up to Dopamine, the final product in the main island's progression.
- 10 large main islands and one large side island.
- Dozens of buildings for production, housing, storage, and research.
- 35 residents with distinct personalities and roles.
- Around 300 outfits to dress your residents in.
- Online visits to friends' islands, where you can sell produce together and help with construction.
- Nine flower varieties to grow and breed in different colors.
- A range of recipes to discover and cook. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not plan to change the base price when Odd Eggs leaves Early Access. We also plan to thank Early Access players with special commemorative rewards, and to recognize key community contributors by including their names and likenesses in the game. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are a team of three, and we want to hear directly from the people playing Odd Eggs. Share your feedback, bug reports, ideas, and island stories through the Steam discussions and our community channels on Discord, X, and QQ. All three of us plan to take part in those conversations and use what we learn to help shape updates.

We also welcome players who would like to take a more active role in testing the game and discussing new ideas. We plan to thank players who help with development through in-game rewards and game merchandise. ”

About This Game

Hundreds of cats. One very busy island.

Build a home for a whole lot of cats, then let them get to work.

Odd Eggs is a cozy automation and management sim about turning a small island into a thriving community. Plan your buildings, set up production chains, and recruit residents to lead your furry workforce. The cats handle their daily routines while you decide what to build next. Settle in on your own, or visit friends online to sell produce together and lend a paw with construction.

Start small. Get things humming.

Assign workers, arrange your buildings, and keep the goods moving. Your cats carry supplies and get on with their jobs, leaving you to shape the bigger picture. Start with a few simple resources and build up to a busy production network, one manageable step at a time.

From a tent to a bustling town

Chop wood, haul stone, process beets, and put those resources to work. Unlock new goods, technologies, and building upgrades as your island grows. There is something satisfying about looking back at a thriving settlement and remembering when it was just a tent.

A workforce with a life of its own

Even hardworking cats need a break. Watch them line up for work, stop for a meal, and gather around after hours. Some may find time to slack off, too. Keep an eye on production, or take a moment to enjoy the little routines that make your island feel alive.

Get to know your residents

Meet dozens of residents with their own personalities, abilities, and stories. Assign them to lead different jobs, collect outfits to make each look your own, and get to know them through dreams and everyday events.

Explore new biomes

Take your growing community beyond its first island, from sandy deserts to snowy landscapes. Each biome brings different resources and building challenges, giving you new ways to expand and rethink your production chains.

Make a little time for yourself

Put down the building plans and pick up a fishing rod. Grow flowers, breed new colors, and try your hand at cooking. Between bigger projects, there is always room for a quiet afternoon and a new recipe.

Lend a friend a paw

Visit friends' islands online, sell produce together, and help with construction. Whether you are tending your own town or pitching in on a friend's next project, there is plenty to keep your paws busy.

A note from Mobi Studio

We are a three-person indie team from Shanghai, China. We love automation games, cats, and the small details that make a game world feel lived in. With Odd Eggs, we wanted to bring those things together: growing production chains, a home to make your own, and tiny workers with busy lives. We would love to hear your ideas and see how your island grows. Come share your stories in the Steam discussions.
