« The game is fully written, but is being released in an episodic format to allow time for programming, artwork, and sufficient testing to be completed for each chapter. This approach ensures each release meets our quality standards while keeping development at a sustainable pace. Each new episode will include fresh story content and new artwork, giving players a polished experience as the story unfolds rather than waiting for the full game to be finished. »

« We anticipate remaining in Early Access until around June 2026. »

« We plan for the full version to include all 13 story chapters, the prologue, and additional bonus and POV scenes, along with more CGs. The chapters released during Early Access are already polished and ready to play; our current goal for the full release is to add the remaining chapters and make minor refinements such as bug fixes and small consistency adjustments. »

When Stars Collide is a science-fantasy adventure romance story.

In the game, the player joins the crew of The Ophelia, a deep space exploration vessel as they uncover a trove of technology from a nearly forgotten species. Unaware that, among the items they unearth is an inhabited stasis pod, the crew recovers the found items but inadvertently awakens the occupant of the pod in the process.

Upon awakening, Wil Nymera, a young interstellar wanderer, discovers they've been asleep for nearly 500 years. With nowhere else to go, Wil temporarily joins the crew after revealing they are Veleian, an ancient species known for their telepathy, advanced technology, and tendency to either guide younger races toward betterment - or else obliterate them.

As Wil attempts to settle in and restart their life after a 500 year nap they did not intend to take, the crew of The Ophelia find themselves caught in a struggle between ancient powers and newer factions eager to get their hands on Veleia's tech and a centuries old secret buried in the depths of Wil's mind.

When stars Collide contains science fiction violence including fight sequences and descriptions of characters being attacked. There are visual depictions of mild injuries and some blood but no extreme gore.

The game contains harsh language and profanity. There are also depictions of trauma and mental health issues.

The game contains some sexual situations and innuendo, as well as non-graphic love scenes, which can be toggled off in the settings screen. There are visual depictions of kissing and characters in undergarments, but no depictions of nudity aside from male shirtlessness.
