Why Early Access?

“The game is already perfectly playable in its current state, and Early Access allows us to keep adding new features and improving the game alongside the community. With the game in Early Access we can see how players respond and make update decisions based on player feedback.

We are experienced at working with player feedback and early access from our last games that were also initially released in Early Access.

The end goal is to create a fun virtual world for people to hangout in, fish, socialize, explore and chill.

Early access is a perfect way to launch the game for players to already enjoy the game in its current state while allowing us to regularly add new content. We aim for Birdweb to steadily receive new updates and content that will expand and improve the game over time. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Birdweb will be in early access for approximately 1-2 years until we feel like we added everything we ourselves would want to see in a fun social multiplayer game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We're planning to add new areas to the world and also offer entire new 'worlds' that players can explore. We're also planning on expanding user customization options with new clothes, items and tools. Overtime we also want to add more fish to the world for players to fish.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Birdweb currently offers a fully functional multiplayer system which allows players to host and join sessions. Once in a session the player spawns on an island where they can voice and text chat with each other and fly around.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Birdweb will increase slightly in price once fully released. This is because the game will have significantly more content in the full 1.0 release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will update the community through Steam newsposts, via our Discord server and through our developer website. This way we can easily receive community feedback and interact with players.”
