The Sage's Spirit: Shining Flame is a Japanese-inspired Western fantasy magic-themed visual novel set in a unique original fictional world, crafted with a female-centric narrative.

Step into the role of Nolan, a commoner mage, as you follow your mentor to Sabelien, the royal capital of the kingdom of Aorleton. Here, you’ll forge bonds with a vivid cast of characters and get tangled in a shadowy power struggle. Will you choose to stay away from the chaos, or embrace it and carve your own path? Every choice you make will shape the fates of the Kingdom of Aorleton and the Mage Guild...

Story summary:

Once in the kingdom of Aorleton, magic was a luxury reserved for nobles alone. Training a mage powerful enough to stand against magical beasts demanded exorbitant wealth—a gulf that left commoners all but cut off from magic entirely.



That changed over a decade ago, when a devastating horde of magical beasts swept through Sabelien, the royal capital. The Mage Guild's highest leader, the Grand Magus, fell in the battle—a sacrifice that, unexpectedly, cracked open the stagnant organization's doors to reform.

The new Grand Magus took office and issued a decree with uncompromising speed: every commoner child with magical talent would receive free magic education. This law shattered the barriers of status—and rewrote your fate, Nolan. As a commoner, you might have lived a life forever disconnected from the Mage Guild… until now.

Blessed with a gift far beyond your peers, you were taken as an apprentice by Theodore, an Arch mage. You traveled with her across the realm, honing your skills in real combat. Finally, the year you turned twenty and rose to the rank of Adept Mage, your mentor kept her promise: she brought you to the royal capital, Sabelien.

You'd hoped this trip would be no more than a chance to experience life in the capital. But beneath its glittering surface, you caught glimpses of a quiet power struggle—factions with their own agendas, not yet openly hostile, but already maneuvering in the shadows. The kingdom's future hung in uncertainty… and you, too, were drawn into the fray, whether you want it or not.

Game Features：

-A visual novel/text-based AVG where the story progresses through text choices.

-Set in an original fictional world—departing from traditional Western and Japanese-inspired Western fantasy—it features a female-centric narrative. The plot centers on the growth, choices, and mutual support of female characters (including the protagonist and key female roles), firmly avoiding the instrumentalization of female characters "for the sake of male-driven storylines."

-Beyond the protagonist, there are 8 key characters (4 male, 4 female) spanning family, friendship, and romance arcs. Each has a fully developed personality; through story choices, you can deepen your understanding of them, build bonds, and unlock different side story paths and endings.

-Rich choice-based branching offers a relatively flexible story experience.

-Over 20 character sprites, 10+ side stories, and more than 10 endings (tentative).

Notes：

-The female protagonist, Nolan (player avatar), has a fixed gender and fixed name (cannot be changed).

-As the player avatar, Nolan has a clear character arc and distinct personality traits—she is kind, rational, and ambitious. Player choices only take effect during "key story branches"; full customization of the character’s personality or behavioral logic is not available. Players accustomed to "highly flexible character customization" may experience reduced immersion. Discretion is advised.

-The main story uses a first-person immersive perspective throughout, with the second-person pronoun ("you") in the text. The side stories may include a god's-eye view (omniscient perspective).

-The main story contains heterosexual (BG) elements. No gay (BL) elements. Currently, there are no lesbian (GL).

-There is no explicit 18+ (adult-only) content. Any sexual innuendos or subtle implications in the story serve solely as emotional atmosphere building—such as ambiguous dialogue between characters or hints of physical contact—and are non-explicit, with no vulgar content or violations of content guidelines.

-Due to the story’s long timeline, some romanceable characters are minors (under 18 years old) during specific phases. During these phases, only one-sided admiration from the minor characters toward the protagonist exists; players cannot engage in substantive romantic interactions (e.g., establishing a relationship, intimate acts) with characters who are minors. These admiration plotlines serve only as story foreshadowing, and optional romantic routes for these characters will only unlock once they reach adulthood. Discretion is advised.

-The core tone of the story is positive and uplifting, though some side stories contain elements of deception, conspiracy, and death.

-Due to cost considerations, character voices are not currently available.
