About This Game

  • Sharp and rough stylistically, unconventional and misterious in it's story, a large maze-like interconnected world, tight combat with many mechanics, aggressive unyielding enemies, immersive sound-design.

THE GAMEPLAY

  • The primary weapons in the game are a pistol, shotgun, sniper, ak-47, knife, and a revolver, each with tons of animations. You can move in tons of different ways be it sliding, grappling, kicking off walls, shooting yourself in the air with a granade or placing a mirror and grappling to it to be instantly pulled towards it. Enemy encounters reward good positioning and fast reaction time with mechanics like parrying, slide stunning, kick stunning. All these mechanics can either make a boss last a minute or five depending on if you choose to play. Enemies are unrelenting and super aggressive so either match their aggression by grappling towards them constantly, using short-range weapons like the shotgun; or counter it by setting up mirror traps, cleverly using granades, and long-range weapons like the sniper. Most bosses adapt to your playstyle with long-range attacks and short-range attacks of their own.

THE STORY

  • The story unravels as the game goes on, initially it can seem vague and confusing. But as the game progresses and player begins to connect the dots and it'll start to make sense.

THE INTERCONNECTED WORLD

  • I love openworld games that give the player freedom to explore and do things at their own pace but i don't like trudging ages through empty uninteresting terrain. That's why this game is going for a semi-linear approach, where the world is many branching paths that are all connected so players don't have to spend a ton of time backtracking and can choose which boss or area they want to approach first. Also the player has plenty of tools to traverse the world in pretty fun ways.
