Why Early Access?

“The first four gates are playable from start to finish, and we want players in it now. Combat feel, boss difficulty and progression pacing are the things we tune best with real players. Early Access lets us do that before we build the next parts of the story on top of it.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect around 12 months. We'll keep the community updated as we go.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to add the final part of the story, with new gates and the final confrontations. We also plan to make the Seven Sages playable boss fights, add dojo trials, more side quests and more puzzles, and expand the soundtrack. Systems like the Dharma board, weapons and familiars will keep growing based on player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version contains the complete first part of the story with four gates. That is 10 hours of play, over 20 boss fights, a Dharma talent board, swords, orbs, spells and familiars. Some later areas use simpler backgrounds that will be improved during Early Access. Full controller support. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The price will rise when the full version releases. Everyone who buys during Early Access gets the full game at no extra cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We read the Steam forums and our Discord every day. We'll post regular update notes on Steam, run polls on what to tune next, and fix reported bugs in patches. The in-game version label helps us match bug reports to builds.”
