Miksi Early Access?

We’re launching in Early Access to gather feedback and test several core features with real players. This will help us refine the gameplay, balance, and overall experience before the full release.

We expect the Early Access period to last around 2-3 months, depending on player feedback and the scope of new features we add during development.

The full version will include additional features, more story content, and overall polish based on player feedback.

Planned differences for the full version:

- The full version of Cult of the Yellow King will expand on the Early Access build with:
- 5 Prestige paths (compared to 3 in Early Access), each featuring its own unique story arc.
- 25 passive skills in total (up from 18 in Early Access).
- The ability to upgrade purchased items.
- New music tracks and ambient sound design.
- General polish and quality-of-life updates based on community feedback.

During Early Access, we’re focusing on refining the core prestige system, balancing Insight generation, and gathering feedback to shape the final two prestige chapters and late-game features.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

Current state of the Early Access version:
The Early Access version is fully playable and includes the complete core gameplay loop.

Players can currently experience:
- 3 Prestige paths, each with its own story arc and ending.
- 18 passive skills that affect Insight generation and gameplay strategy.
- 6 equippable items, each with unique passive bonuses.
- 3 prayer types (Whispers, Cultists, and Eldritch Horrors) forming the core of progression.
- All core UI and sound systems, including music, ambience, and saving.
- Initial balance tuning and progression pacing for testing.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

The price will remain the same after Early Access.

We plan to involve the community by listening to feedback, suggestions, and bug reports shared on Steam discussions and our Discord server. Player input will help us shape new features, balance changes, and overall improvements throughout development.
