Ahead of the full launch, we need you to lead a mission on the surface of Mars.  

• Pilot the rover ‘Discovery’ across the red rocks of Mars 

• Traverse craters, cliffs and impassable rocks using technological upgrades 

• Collect samples and investigate anomalies to gain scientific research 

• Expand the ‘Ares’ research base into a connected network  

• Customise Payloads to adapt to evolving challenges 

• Build outposts to mine materials 

• Maintain the delicate balance of resources in a harsh environment 

• Make scientific discoveries to earn additional support and resources for your mission 

• Decide how you want to grow and upgrade your agency 

• Mars Horizon 2: The Search for Life has been developed in collaboration with leading experts in the field and is partnered with the European Space Agency and consultation work from the University of Edinburgh. 

This Test Mission is just the beginning of the Mars Horizon 2: The Search for Life experience! By completing this mission, you will be a certified space agency director who will be prepared for whatever may come in the game’s full release in 2026.
