Acerca de esta demo

This is a demo and presents only a small portion (The introductory scenes) of Out Of Water. The game is still in development and aspects may change.

Out of Water is a mythic visual novel about love, survival, and choice - set in Watarholt, a northern Germanic village in the year 1 CE.

Shape your character’s path through friendships, relationships, a dark threat, and a fading peace.

The story unfolds entirely through dialogue and immersive, hand-drawn art - your decisions shape what happens next.

The harvest is done. The lake runs still. But something in Watarholt is wrong.

Watarholt is a quiet settlement of twelve longhouses, nestled among heaths, rivers, and birch forests. As summer fades  you - like everyone in Watarholt - prepare for shorter days and colder nights: bringing in the harvest, gathering around fires, telling stories, and singing songs.

But the nights grow colder still when villagers begin to vanish... or wash up dead. The woods turn hostile. The waters, deadly.

As tension rises, you’ll form bonds, face ancient horrors, and uncover something wicked beneath the surface.

The tale of Watarholt lies in your hands. You decide the fate of not only your character, but the entire village. This happens through dialogue choices and narration.

Pick wisely - not every outcome is bound to turn out well.

All character art and backgrounds are hand drawn and subtly animated to create an atmospheric, immersive experience. Characters react not only through dialogue, but also with changing expressions.

Choose your name, your demeanor, and how the village sees you. Out of Water invites you to project yourself into its world - the protagonist is defined by your choices and imagination, not the game.

Romance in Out of Water is completely optional. You may build a relationship with one of three male NPCs - or walk your path as allies, rivals, or friends, shaped entirely by your choices. Choosing romance, or not, will not limit the story’s outcome.
