Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We’re aiming for the 2nd quarter of 2018.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“More levels, structures, weapon mods, enemies… more everything! There'll also be a much better tutorial, and of course a few metric tons of polish.
You'll also notice a lack of EA-only features in the fully released game… because everyone who joins up early will unlock a bunch of exclusive stuff that no one else will.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Solid… wait, no, liquid? Now it’s gaseous… it’s getting hot in here!!

Dad jokes aside, it’s stable and the framerate is pretty good. We have most of the core mechanics we want in there, and people seem to be having fun.
There’s a lot to learn in this game - but we’ve been working on this for so long, we sometimes can’t see the forest for the trees. Having new eyeballs are helpful, so you can tell us what’s well explained, and what’s… slightly less so.
Oh, and there are bugs... that's an exciting metagame we added just for Early Access players. :)”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, early access players are receiving a hefty discount (as well as 7 karma points and a virtual hug). It will likely double before release, so now's a good time to get it!”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

Happy new year! New build!

Merry Christmas and Happy new year!! We bring a wonderful gift for you - a new build, one long long overdue! We’re in the middle of revamping the entire tutorial, because unlike all the other little changes we’ve made in the past year, this one is big. Huge. Amazing. You know what it is?


You heard it right. We have FLAMETHROWERS NOW.

Four new towers have been added to the game, along with a plethora of changes to enemy firing, FPS mode in general, commander specials, shielding… just about everything is getting an upgrade, and my god I cannot wait to show you.

We have Pyro, this psycho little tower that will likes to say ‘#*&# this area in particular.’
Fire not your style? That’s cool. We got lasers too. And sniper’s nests.
“We want something new” I hear you say. Well, my dear imagined audience, have I got the tower for you!
Meet the Magno Bombs.

They chuck out magnetized balls of death. Which is fun on its own, but in FPS mode… your gun platform is magetized. You know what that means? Yup. You get to make like Zenyatta and throw your balls in people’s faces. Go forth and make things explodey, my friend!

All of this aside, we’ve made a multidude of changes. Shield got a visual overhaul, and it also has this cool pulsing thing that happens whenever you catch bullets in it, or if you get a powerup. Speaking of powerups… we added lots!!!

The adrenaline bombs are a thing of the past – now, we’ve got reload crates, tower boosting crates (think steroids for your turrets) and this awesome charge crate that turns the next enemy you boop into a bomb.

I do apologize for the lack of updates – we’re only a two person team here at MindWalker games, and I’m the only one on PR. Life was very much on the difficult side lately – unexpected expenses, work stress, and other troubles coalesced into an unholy trifecta of difficulty that knocked me out of the indiedev saddle for awhile. But I am happy to report that we are back and better than ever, and I cannot WAIT to show you all we’ve got in store.

The tutorial has been updated a bit, but we're still iterating on the shield and firing introduction. The beta will be updated in a day or two with added help, but for now here's what you need to know:

Activate shield with right click. Any shots you successfully block can be deflected back against the enemy. Use left click to discharge any built up shots back at the creeps.

WASD can be used to navigate at all times in FPS mode.

Yellow pickups = haste boost for the next tower you land on
Purple pickups = Quantum charge - next time you boop a creep with your shield up, he'll charge up and explode.
Green pickups = Targeting power. Click on an enemy in tactical view and your towers will all target him. Eliminates ground/air restrictions on that enemy.
Loot Crates = Full ammunition recharge

They can all be shot instead of picked up, and they'll just explode like a regular old bomb.

New towers are coming!

Exciting news! FOUR new towers are coming in our next update.

Get ready for the flamethrower, laser tower, sniper's nest, and (my personal favorite) the magno bombs! We're hoping to get a beta up for you to test in the next few days. New towers were long overdue, and we think these will not disappoint.

More updates are also coming down the pipe - we've redesigned the FPS exit and entry, added launch pads, as well as vastly improved the enemy firing mechanics.

We're also setting up a discord for Sentinels! If you're interested in joining, leave us a comment! A public join link we'll be available with the upcoming beta.

Sentinels: Tower Defense with a Twist!

The heroic protectors known as Sentinels have been called back into action! This isn't your typical tower defense - Not only will you build turrets and other defenses, you'll be jumping into first person mode and taking bad guys down yourself!

Using the unique skills of Sam, Kat, and Frank, you'll lay waste to the seemingly endless horde. Deploy powerful automated towers, upgrade them to devastating Elite towers, and watch the mayhem. When that doesn’t quite cut it, jump into FPS mode and activate the mobile gun platform - you'll become a deadly projectile as you move between structures, smashing any enemy that dares cross your path. To round out your lethal arsenal, place manually activated structures and rain down meteors and acid attacks. With an ever-expanding roster of levels, face off against 5 powerful enemy commanders, each with their own unique powers and buffs. From stealth to speed to heavy armor, you'll find yourself challenged every step of the way.

Mobile gun platform: boop, fly, kill

Ever been really, really mad at a creep that snuck past your defenses? As in, wanna smash-it-into-a-building mad? We hear you. With the mobile gun platform, you can do just that. When in FPS mode, press spacebar at any time to launch forward and throw creeps into buildings, walls, and even each other. Besides masquerading as a battering ram, you can use the platform to move to any structure on the map, booping creeps out of the way as you go. You can also activate meteor storms, cold snaps, and commander specials without ever leaving the comfort of your cockpit.

Enemies and bosses with dangerous abilities

These creeps really want to destroy the world, and they do *not* appreciate your interference. They'll try everything they can do to sneak past your defenses, strengthen themselves against your attacks, or even attack you directly. Commanders like Guise will grant her forces stealth and allow them to sneak past your automated defenses uncontested. Brick and Aegis will keep their forces stocked up on armor and shields. But beware of Angel most of all - her icy artillery will freeze everything it touches, shutting down your turrets in a flash!

Weapon modifiers: Make the ultimate creep-killing machine

As you advance in the game, more and more weapon modifiers will become available. You have your typical mods like decrease reload time, increase magazine size... but that's just the start. With advanced mods, you can start massively boosting strength of crit damage, or increase energy cost for a massive power boost. Some mods will help you against specific enemies, giving your weapons shield breaking or armor piercing abilities. The more you level up, the more mods you unlock, and even more are going to be added. The sky's the limit!
