What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The current build is a playable alpha. It includes real-time voice chat (Whisper + TTS), basic Minecraft & Factorio agents (auto-mining, base-building), VRM/Live2D model import with lip-sync, screen-awareness tavern mode, and cross-platform clients (Windows/macOS/Linux + Web). You can jump in and chat or co-play right now, though you may encounter occasional performance hiccups or minor bugs—these are exactly what we want your help to iron out.”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“We plan for 3–6 months, depending on community feedback and development pace. We’ll post monthly updates and be transparent on Steam news. If feedback is strong, we may exit early; if more time is needed, we’ll explain why.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full release, we plan to keep expanding Project AIRI based on development progress and player feedback. Our current roadmap includes exploring broader agent-related experiences, improving stability and performance, polishing the core AI companion flow, and deepening integrations with features such as streaming tools, achievements, and workshop support where appropriate.

The exact scope and timing may change as we learn from Early Access feedback, and we will keep the community updated through Steam news and release notes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fully functional core loop: import a model, talk to your AI, let her watch your screen or join you in Minecraft/Factorio. Everything runs locally via Nix or Tauri builds. Expect alpha-level stability—great for testing, not yet 100% polished.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Airi will remain Free to Play forever—no subscriptions, no paywalls.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“• Report bugs & suggestions in Steam Discussions
• Submit PRs or issues on GitHub (weekly merges)
• Join upcoming Discord for live voice testing
• Monthly AMA streams + roadmap voting Every update will be announced on Steam with clear changelogs. Your voice directly shapes the roadmap—if the community wants more games, we’ll build them first!”

About This Software

Imagine a digital companion who can play games with you, chat with you, and even watch you code. She's not just a phantom in the cloud, but your very own presence right on your computer.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Project AIRI uses generative AI features during runtime to support player-driven conversations and companion behavior. Players may connect their own AI providers or local models, and the generated responses can vary based on player input and configuration.

The game does not rely on generative AI to create illegal or infringing content. Players are expected to use these features responsibly, and Project AIRI is designed as an AI companion experience rather than a tool for generating standalone copyrighted or prohibited material.
