Following the introduction of Megastructures into ASTRONEER, the Megatech DLC allows you to take full advantage of this whole new scale of base-building with unique new Megastructures! This expansion to the base game offers a new set of end-game challenges for advanced Astroneers who have a love of automation, so if that sounds like you then have a look at what’s included: 

The Orbital Platform 

This puts the MEGA in Megastructures! Build the space base of your dreams on this massive blank canvas, capable of being expanded with additional terrain platforms. Freely modify your own asteroid at the center of your station by choosing its shape and altering its infinitely regeneratable soil as you wish. 

The Biodome 

This is for all the green-thumbed Astroneers. Unlock new flora growth and harvesting technology to enable the ability to collect seeds at a whole new scale, produce Mega-sized plant variants, and more! This Megastructure also introduces a wilting mechanic that you must balance your automation against in order to reap the full rewards. 

The Museum 

This is all about prestige and perks. Display up to 7 different collections of items found on your travels to unlock convenient new perks or just create your own display for fun. You can also show off all the hard work you put into building a great base by contributing bytes, resources, and power that will be tracked for all to see and unlock milestone rewards. 

Mission Rewards 

This DLC also contains exclusive cosmetic items unlocked by completing various stages of its new mission chains. This includes the “Cosmopolitan” palette, “Under the Sun” hat, “Tableau” visor, and “Haywire” mask. Other rewards also include the whimsical Melodic Mushroom that plays a tone when activated or bumped into it. 

More Info: This DLC is completely compatible with existing saves and builds off of any progress you’ve already made in-game. Feel free to start fresh or load up your existing saves and start building! To get started, look for the “Large Scale Learning” mission in your Mission Log, you’ll need to build the DLS (Distribution Launcher System) to be able to access the Construction Anchors for all Megastructures. Make sure you’ve built at least one Megastructure other than the DLS so that the option to build the Orbital Platform is enabled.
