Leaving Early Access: April 2026

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Good Children Say Grace is a self-funded collaboration between myself (Denis) and writer Milha Vek. A passion project we plan to make our life's work.

I'm releasing episodically through Early Access to develop the game alongside the community. Player feedback will shape how earlier episodes evolve while we work on later ones. Three episodes are currently planned, with a free Demo launching in March 2026.

If the game finds traction, expanding the story beyond three episodes and delivering a full Japanese localization are among my top priorities.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Late 2026 or early 2027. Honestly, I don't know yet. The timeline will be dictated by player feedback and how many iterations each episode needs. I would rather get it right than get it out.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Interconnected episodes where choices cascade throughout the story. Three episodes reaching a full conclusion is the current goal, though this may evolve based on community reception.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“A free Demo will be playable in March 2026 with all core gameplay systems and the starting branching narrative. After gathering feedback, the Demo will be expanded into Episode 1 with additional content and fixes. Episode 1 is planned for April 2026. These dates may shift if the feedback calls for it.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Lower price during Early Access, with increases as episodes are added. Early purchasers get all future episodes at their buy-in price. Any changes will be announced in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Regular community posts and feedback channels. Which story branches resonate, how players approach choices, what lands and what doesn't. All of it directly shapes what gets built next.”

About This Game

Good Children Say Grace is a first-person psychological horror adventure set on a remote Eastern European family horror and dark romance filtered through manga-inspired storytelling.

The red egg watches.

IT REQUIRES SUSTENANCE.

Your choices shape three years of starvation, possession, and increasingly desperate survival. Dialogue decisions and where you walk determine which version of the story you're living. Small moments cascade into dramatically different outcomes.

  • First-person / 2.5D exploration with branching narratives

  • Story-rich nonlinear gameplay

  • Dialogue and movement-based decision systems

  • Psychological horror focused on family, love, boredom, hunger, and loneliness

  • Dark romance at its core

  • Multiple routes and endings based on your choices

The game will be released episodically.
