What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I'm launching in Early Access because the core of Set Adrift is ready—exploration, fishing, boating, and discovery are all in place—but there’s still work to do on polish, story content, and world-building. Early Access gives us a chance to expand the world based on real player feedback, refine mechanics, and make sure every island and encounter feels meaningful. We want players to be part of shaping this strange, drifting world as it grows.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will be in early access for about 3 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to make many more features that will improve players' experience and extend play length. Some visual assets, sound design, and polish are also still being refined. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“I plan for the Early Access version of Set Adrift to include the core gameplay loop: sailing between islands, fishing in open waters, discovering hidden locations, and talking to unique characters. I plan for players to be able to explore multiple islands, complete quests, gather items, and uncover pieces of the larger mystery surrounding the world. I plan for Early Access to feature a rich world to explore, quests to complete, and plenty of content. Bugs and performance issues may occur, but gameplay is stable and offers a full playable experience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to raise the price when the full game is released, but it will still be very cheap.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I am planning to involve the community by listening closely to feedback and suggestions shared through Steam discussions and other channels. Since Set Adrift is all about exploration and discovery, I want to keep evolving the world in ways that surprise and resonate with players. We'll prioritize fixes, polish, and new features based on what players enjoy most—and we'll be transparent about what's changing and why.”

About This Game

Set Adrift is a single-player exploration game set in a mysterious archipelago shrouded by mist. You begin shipwrecked on the edge of an unknown world. With only a small raft and a handful of supplies, you’ll fish for survival, sail between strange islands, and piece together fragments of a lost history.

The game focuses on discovery, eerie atmosphere, and environmental storytelling. Every island has been handcrafted, filled with hidden notes, odd characters, and strange landmarks. Some locations are abandoned, others inhabited by creatures with unclear intentions. Dialogue is nonlinear, quests are optional, and the world rewards curiosity over urgency.

Set Adrift invites you to drift, explore, and make sense of a fractured place where time feels off and the sky never quite looks right.
