Why Early Access?

“Bridgelands is developed by a solo indie developer, and Early Access is an opportunity to shape the game together with the community. Feedback from players will be essential to improve existing features, balance the gameplay, and guide the development of new content.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The plan is for Bridgelands to remain in Early Access for approximately 1 to 2 years. This timeline may change depending on community feedback and the scope of new features added during development.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Bridgelands is planned to include significantly more content, features, and polish. While the Early Access version already provides the core gameplay experience, the full release will expand with new biomes, enemies, items, and gameplay systems. The goal is to deliver a richer world, deeper mechanics, improved performance, and overall a more complete and polished experience shaped by community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Bridgelands already offers a fully playable experience with the core mechanics in place. Players can explore, gather resources, build, and face different challenges within the world. However, the current content is limited compared to what is planned for the full release, and some systems are still being refined. Regular updates will gradually add more biomes, creatures, items, and features as development progresses.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The Early Access version of Bridgelands currently offers one island to explore, with the core gameplay systems already functional. There are many activities and mechanics to experiment with, but the amount of content is still limited and the game does not yet include a beginning–middle–end structure. Players can expect a solid foundation that will expand over time with new islands, features, and progression systems, and as development continues and significant new content is added, we plan to gradually increase the price to reflect the game’s growth.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play a central role in the development of Bridgelands. Players will be able to share suggestions, report bugs, and discuss new ideas through the Steam forums and Discord. As a solo developer, I rely on direct communication with the community to help prioritize features, improve gameplay balance, and ensure the game grows in the right direction. Regular updates and development posts will keep players informed and engaged throughout Early Access.”
