About This Game

From the creators of Through the Darkest of Times & The Darkest Files (Best German Game of 2026).

Have you seen the news?

We’re setting up a special investigation unit.

We need you to take charge.

The first game about a dramatic chapter in German history.

The Federal Republic of Germany in the 1970s is under pressure. Left-wing terrorist attacks are shaking the country, political tensions are rising, and the public is demanding answers. As the head of a special police task force, you find yourself at the center of this crisis.

All Eyes on You

In SOKO 1977: Anti-Terror Task Force, you take charge of investigations into terrorist cells. You gather clues, cross-reference information, interrogate suspects, and decide which leads to pursue. You rarely have all the facts—and often have little time.

Every decision counts. Mistakes have consequences—not only for the operation, but also for the trust in your work. Politicians and the media are watching your every move, and you must constantly weigh how far you can and are willing to go.

Every Playthrough is a New Challenge

The scenarios in the game are fictionalized but inspired by real events in the Federal Republic of Germany in the 1970s. Each playthrough tells a completely new investigative story through procedurally generated cases, events, and suspects. You must weigh risks and make decisions whose consequences will permanently alter the course of your investigation.

SOKO 1977 combines thrilling deduction and investigative work with the social conflicts of a defining era in Germany’s history. Caught between security and freedom, political and public pressure, and the principles of the rule of law, the responsibility lies with you.
