Hardcore, retro-styled RPG focused on boss fights with interesting mechanics. Demanding. At times grind-y. There are leaderboards to climb! You can team up with your friends (so they can call you useless when you inevitably miss a mechanic), or go solo. Your call, play however you want.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to involve players in the design and balancing of new systems, as well as new content. We'll be able to run experimental systems and use players' feedback to understand what they'd like to see in the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are giving ourselves roughly one year. The date of October 14th holds special meaning for us, as it's the day the first lines of code were written, and we'd be stoked to leave Early Access exactly on October 14th, 2026.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We're expecting to have a solid foundation upon which we will be able to keep adding content and focus on replayability, with a core loop that is tested and validated by our players. The number of available game modes and encounters should also organically increase during the Early Access phase as we fully realize our vision and ideas.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version covers roughly the first 1-2 hours of gameplay. No core features are missing: the combat, boss encounters, loot and progression, item sacrifice, and Renown systems described in "About This Game" are all in and playable. What's being expanded during Early Access is the variety of encounters and mechanics and the polish of assets.
Servers run with aggressively limited player counts while I monitor net-code performance, so co-op capacity is capped for now, and the chance of downtime for server upgrades is higher during this period.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, the game is free.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We hope the community can be a reality check for us as we offer and test various game modes and content ideas during Early Access. We invite everyone to share their feedback both on the Steam Forums and on our Discord channel.”

About This Game

A hardcore, retro-styled action RPG built around demanding boss fights, rendered in chunky pixel art. You learn each boss the hard way: dying to its patterns and phases until you can read every telegraph and punish every opening.

What you actually do:

  • Fight handcrafted bosses. Each encounter is mechanically driven: positioning, timing, and reacting to telegraphed attacks matter far more than mashing buttons.

  • Grind gear and progress your character. Boss kills feed a loot and equipment progression loop, including rare and unique items.

  • Sacrifice rare and unique items to the gods of the Void, trading your hard-won gear for their Favor and lasting power.

  • Earn Renown: the primary score and currency that anchors the endgame loop.

  • Climb the leaderboards, solo or in up to 4-player co-op.

Team up with friends (so they can call you useless when you inevitably miss a mechanic), or go solo. Your call, play however you want.
