What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“ZERO is being launched in Early Access to gather valuable community feedback and ensure that the core gameplay mechanics feel engaging and balanced while the full build is undergoing development. While the current build already includes most of the core mechanics [For instance, The agile combat system, Smart enemy AI Behaviour, Time intensive gameplay and testing around the 'New Genre' which is a mix of Roguelike and souls-like games], the game is still evolving. I believe that Early Access will allow me to work closely with the players and refine mechanics based on real feedback; and expand the game with new maps, enemy types and weapons over time.

I believe involving players early will not only help me improve stability and polish but also guide development in the right direction, ensuring the final version of ZERO is something the community can feel a part of.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Around 1 to 1.5 Years or more”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to have a linear story with around 4-5 Hours of playtime and more fluid and satisfying combat with more variety of enemies and addition of allies and a variety of new weapons and playable characters.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of Zero in early access offers a playable and engaging combat experience with a couple of game-modes with simple yet time-intensive objectives such as neutralising hijackers and disarming explosives in a subway station, Destroy illegal cargo packages, Assassination of specific entities etc.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Cost of the game is planned to increase in the final build, since the final build is planned to have a much bigger gameplay and a linear story for which the cost of the game will be catching up to it.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Feedbacks and suggestions of the community will be actively taken into consideration and development progress will be shared accordingly to keep the community engaged.”

About This Game

  • ZERO is a single-player hyper-violent first-person shooter that blends souls-like difficulty with a rogue-like structure. The game is designed around fast and unforgiving combat where both the player and enemies can die within seconds.

  • You play as Kyro, a merciless assassin cyborg and the failed experiment of the creators of the Slayers. Left without purpose, he now fights through hostile environments, relying only on his agility, speed, and weapons to survive.

  • Combat focuses primarily on melee encounters. While ranged weapons exist, ammunition is limited and forces you back to blades and fists. Every fight is intense and mobility is critical — dodging, dashing, and striking at the right moment is the difference between life and death.

  • Your enemies are the Slayers: combat cyborgs programmed for defense and extermination. Each type of Slayer brings its own threat, from dodging and strafing to heavy gunfire and close-range aggression. They are built to overwhelm, forcing you to adapt quickly.

  • The objectives push you into dangerous scenarios. In one mission, Kyro must clear a subway station of Slayers while neutralising explosives planted on the tracks. In another, he infiltrates a cargo shipment yard to destroy illegal containers before they are loaded onto a departing ship.

  • Zero is about high stakes, short runs, and brutal encounters. There is no health regeneration, and survival depends on agility, aggression, precision, and timing.
