What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Because the premise of the game is for players to decide its future with every update. Since the initial game was just be a blank slate with a button, Early Access allows me to set expectations and answer the question "Is this a Game yet?" with "No" in the beginning.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Given the nature of the game, it is difficult to estimate how quickly the game will evolve because it heavily depends on the players design choices. I would like stay in Early Access until the majority can answer the question "Is this a Game yet?" with a satisfied "Yes". If I had to give an estimate I would like to believe that the game will start feeling like a standalone experience in about 3-6 months. However, I want to emphasize that the development journey, even during Early Access, is quite literally a part of the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“This is an impossible question to answer due to the unique premise of the game. Players design every update with their submissions on the leaderboard. By the time we leave Early Access it might be a platformer, a story-driven horror game, a top-down cozy farming simulator, or an action roguelike. No one could predict the outcome. Every update shapes a new experience directed by the players. But no matter where we end up, the full version is planned to be a feature-complete game that can stand on its own, although the game might still drastically change even after Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game currently is a roguelite-style arcade game with randomized mini-challenges, including a rhythm game. The main game loop consists of attacking a blue and red bubble in turns to increase your combo and score, a multi-stage boss fight against MEGANOM, ocean themed graphics and visual effects, with several music tracks and sound design that drives some animations and game mechanics. The character is a WASD-controlled cursor unique fish-like movement and dash attack. There is also a hub world with meta upgrades for the cursor and an arcade mode to play all past iterations of the game. The player-driven design concept is tied together with a submission screen and guidelines for players to define their design directive, which are then part of the global leaderboard and upvote system to decide what the next update will be.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. As the game evolves, the price will increase accordingly. However, there are no plans for paid DLC, so your initial purchase includes all future updates. The final price will also stay on the lower end, given that it is still a solo developer indie project.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The entire premise of the game is that players decide everything the game will be with every update. On top of that it will be developed live on stream, so players can give real-time feedback on everything.”

About This Game

ABOUT THIS GAME

Is this a Game yet? (ItaGy) is an open invitation: you and me, building a game live, one update at a time. In the beginning there was exactly one button and a global leaderboard. No tutorials, no roadmaps. Every click, every idea, every vote shaped what the game is now and what it will be in the future.

THE JOURNEY SO FAR

After the initial button in Cycle 0, the game changed to a twin button system with challenges, decoys and cursor upgrades in Cycle 1.

Cycle 2 added a new rhythm challenge, dark mode and hub world overhaul while Cycle 3 completely changed the core gameplay to WASD controls, aquatic-themed graphics, a new swarm challenge and a multi-stage boss fight against MEGANOM.

What will Cycle 4 bring to the game?

HOW IT WORKS

  • Blank Canvas Start

One button, one counter, zero instructions. Your clicks fill an empty leaderboard.

  • Player-Driven Updates

At the end of each cycle, the top 3 global scorers and top 2 most liked submissions will be chosen and implemented in the very next update cycle.

  • Live Co-Development

All development happens live on stream. Jump into chat, suggest features on the fly, watch your ideas take shape in real time.

  • Endless Possibilities

Today it’s a clicker, tomorrow a platformer, puzzle, RPG, or something entirely new.

WHY JUMP IN NOW?

  • No paid Expansions. Purchase early and enjoy all future updates forever.

  • You’re not just playing, you’re designing.

  • Real-time feedback via development live streams.

  • Frequent update cycles mean the game never feels the same twice.

  • Join a tight-knit community where every vote matters.

EARLY ACCESS

Click, climb, design! Let's find out together if we can turn the answer to "Is this a Game yet?" from a No into a resounding Yes.
