Miksi Early Access?

Block Beast is in Early Access so that you get the game faster while we continue to work on extra features. The core game consists of collecting blocks & battling beasts, so as soon as this is complete, it makes sense to get the game into your hands ASAP. This allows us to collect feedback, make adjustments, and continue to expand on the world of Block Beast without restricting players' access to the game. Additionally, since the game features A LOT of varied blocks (all with different abilities & stats), Early Access will give us time to balance everything, ensuring a fun and fair gaming experience.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

Block Beast will remain in Early Access until the primary game-mode is complete and the first set of Blocks has been balanced. Completing the core game-mode is not expected to take much development time; however, balancing a large set of Blocks for release will take lots of iteration to get that balance feeling "just right". It is estimated that this phase of balancing will require approximately 4-6 months, as this will lay the foundation for all future updates and Block sets.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

The Early Access version of Block Beast will be HIGHLY experimental and subject to many significant changes. While the development team iterates on the game's balance, it may be necessary for us to completely rework and/or redesign core gameplay mechanics. Players should expect a vibrant and dynamic game during this time-period; however, players should also expect features to change drastically.

For the full version of Block Beast we plan to release a fully stable gameplay experience where game-modes are settled on, Blocks have been balanced, and the online gameplay experience is reliable.

Afterwards, we plan to release several substantial content updates that players can look forward to, all of which will expand on the world of Block Beast, introducing new Blocks and world-elements.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

When Block Beast is launched into Early Access players should expect a fully playable game that gives them the opportunity to:
1. unlock blocks
2. customize new beast builds
3. battle online via asynchronous multiplier
4. save their progress across multiple play sessions

Early Access players will also have the opportunity to give direct feedback on the current state of the game, influence the "balance" of different Blocks, and directly contribute to the future design of the game.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

Block Beast will ALWAYS offer a Free-To-Play version of the game.

Future content and game-modes will be offered to the player via an in-game shop where players can support the game by purchasing new content. For example: a player may choose to spend a small amount in order to purchase a "Beast Crate", which will unlock 3 different Beasts & reward 12-18 blocks (depending on the Beasts).

PURCHASED CONTENT WILL NOT BE RANDOM!

There will be no "packs" and/or "loot-boxes", and any content that the player chooses to purchase will be guaranteed and entirely transparent. For example: if you purchase the "Dinosaur Beast" you will always be guaranteed the same 5 blocks.

Block Beast offers thousands of different combinations. The massive amount of possibilities in this game will offer players the opportunity to test and "break" new game content. As a result, the communities' feedback will be considered HEAVILY when iterating on new content and balance updates.

Players can join the official Discord server in order to share thoughts, ideas, feedback, and gameplay moments they experienced. Additionally, the dev team will continue to live-stream the development process on websites such as: Twitch & YouTube -- this transparency and insight into our development process will allow for a consistent back-and-forth between the community and the dev team, so that we can effectively figure out what "works", and what doesnt.
