What’s New in Version 2:

• New Art Style : The game now presents an entirely upgraded visual style. It is still Pixel Art, but in much higher quality.

• Better Scrolling & Performance : Now powered by the Godot engine, the game runs smoothly and renders beautiful scenery at 60 fps. 

• Biomes : Gather all the right conditions, and a biome will form automatically. Beyond looking beautiful, biomes are essential for the health and happiness of certain animals.

• Uncluttered scenery : No more overlapping vegetation. The new tile system allows for a more detailed and elegant forest layout where every plant stands out clearly.

• Different World Templates : Plains, mountains, lakes or deserts, choose your world template. Nothing is set in stone; you can reshape it all.

• Desirability Guide : Before adding a new plant or animal, use the visual guide to make sure it has everything  to thrive.

• Smarter Wildlife : The new AI model makes animal behavior more realistic. And yes, they can now communicate with each other. This feature will be especially useful for... well, let’s just say you’ll find out soon enough.

• Happiness Details : Get a clear understanding of what inconvenience a plant or an animal, and what they need to be happy.

• New Progression system : Gradually unlock all the game content by fulfilling specific goals.

• Unique monuments : Unlock some exclusive structures to decorate your world.

• Improved Water Physics: This one wasn’t too difficult to tackle. It's still not perfect, but it’s a big improvement.

• More plants, more animals, more monuments, more of everything. Please note that some of these new materials may not be available during the Early Access phase.

• Something Big: We’re not quite ready to reveal this feature yet, but trust us, it (or maybe they) will bring major changes to the game.

Small Living World is a full-fledged ecosystem simulator, bringing every aspect of nature to life. From the water cycle and plant growth, to animal behavior and reproduction, observe your small living world evolve. All the tools are at your disposal to create your perfect forest. 

You can observe the natural food chain in action. From plants fighting for sunlight, to animals searching for precious food resources. And don’t ignore the importance of predators to regulate herbivore populations. Every detail counts. 

The ground is fully dynamic; sculpt it as you like. Raise mountains, carve out lakes, even flood the land to form oceans. Drain the water to create deserts, or let it rise and watch valleys turn to swamps. Every change you make shapes how nature thrives.

Plant seeds and watch the greenery spread. Every plant has its own preference for soil, water and sunlight. Place them wisely, and they’ll thrive across the land. From tiny wildflowers to giant sequoias, the world is yours to grow.

Once your forest begins to flourish, it’s time to welcome animals. Each species comes with its own needs and quirks. Watch as they explore, interact, and adapt to the world you’ve shaped. Survival won’t be easy—some will thrive, others will perish. That’s just how nature works.

And if that’s not enough, you can also personalize your world with decorations—statues, fences, ancient ruins, mysterious artifacts, and more. Some of these items even hold hidden powers that subtly influence your ecosystem.
