What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Gridpaper is a precision headshot speedrunner developed by a single developer. I (the developer) want the community to play a big role in the development of the game. I don't think I could build the best possible version of this game alone. Instead, I would love to gather input from experienced gamers all over the world and build their dream casual aim trainer.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The plan is to be in early access for 6-8 months, at which point a full version will be released.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The early access release is a complete experience. After the full release, we plan to include additional challenge mode levels that are not connected to the story/campaign but rather a large corpus of competitive time trial challenges. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The early access version contains a campaign (storyline), ten levels, several enemies, basic speedrun leaderboards, stats, achievements, and in-game unlockables (no microtransactions). I will be pushing updates frequently so there is always more content to explore, for free.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Players who download the early access game will have the product for life. I plan to make the game paid once the full version is out.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have a discord with a small community that we are looking for testers/players to join and help drive the game direction. If you love FPS, speedrunning, or just getting gnarly headshots, we want your input. ”
