Development Update

We are excited to share that Fortified Space entered closed beta on June 8, 2025! We have been getting a lot of great input from players and look forward to sharing the game with all of you soon.

About This Game

It has been two decades since the enemy first swept into the Solar System and attacked Earth. Humanity's forces put up a desperate fight for survival and, at great cost, slowed the enemy advance to a stalemate. Now, the heaviest fighting rages on continuously at the edges of the Solar System, far from the inner planets where a semblance of peace has returned.

It is against this backdrop that Earth intelligence discovered the locations of the enemy's homeworld and other planets within its wide-ranging domain. Hoping to force an enemy withdrawal and relieve pressure from Earth's defensive forces, the military formed a naval strike group to launch a surprise attack directly into their territory.

You are the captain of a Unified Earth Forces starship participating in the counter-offensive. Your mission is to operate ahead of the main fleet and to create footholds for our landing forces. Fly your ship to enemy planets, destroy their orbital defenses, and land on the surface to build fortified spaceports. Build a variety of emplacements to secure the area against waves of enemies. Of course, you can always use your trusty assault rifle in a pinch.

Build Planetary Fortifications

Think strategically as you set up barriers, turrets, gates, or barbed wire on the planet. Or, if it's been a long day, maybe you can just build a wall of turrets. The enemy will get the message. Create a secure zone to allow our main landing forces to deploy.

Engage in Ship-to-Ship Combat

Test your skills as a starship captain as you strafe alien space stations and escort ships during fleet battles. Defend yourself with the ship's point-defense turret and strike hard with your railguns.

Relax and Enjoy Down Time

Get up out of your chair, walk around your ship, talk to your crew, and read the news. Explore the civic and cultural institutions in Earth's capital city. Don't forget to visit the Library of Earth.
