About This Game

The Game

VHS Collection: Buried Alive is a psychological horror experience that immerses players in a slow-burning descent into guilt, grief, and paranoia. Set in the fog-covered, snow-drenched town of Alebha, the game follows David, a man trying to escape the shadows of his past by starting a new life—only to find those shadows have followed him.

After taking a quiet job as an overnight graveyard security guard, David hopes the isolation will bring peace. But as the nights go on, peace is the last thing he finds. Disturbing dreams begin to bleed into reality. Whispers echo through the cemetery. Shapes move in the fog. Snow falls endlessly, muffling sounds that shouldn’t exist. And beneath it all lies something buried—something that refuses to stay dead.

As David’s mind begins to unravel, hallucinations become harder to distinguish from the truth. Memories resurface in fragmented nightmares, and a presence lurks in the distance, watching. Each night reveals more of Alebha’s dark history, and more of David’s internal torment.

Aesthetic

The game features a gritty VHS-inspired visual style, with analog distortion, grainy textures, and flickering effects that intensify the sense of disorientation. The snowy, fog-filled streets and desolate cemetery are brought to life through chilling ambient sound and oppressive atmosphere.
