Live Translate runs large AI models locally on your computer. Performance scales directly with your hardware. We want you to be happy with your purchase, so please check this before you buy:

  • Minimum 8 GB VRAM is required. The app works at this level and plain text / audio translation feels smooth. Advanced image generation and large translation models may be slow or unavailable.
  • 12 GB+ VRAM is where Live Translate really shines — fast translation, advanced models, the full Anime Creator experience.
  • 16 GB+ VRAM unlocks the largest optional model packs for maximum quality.
  • NVIDIA GPUs are the fastest. AMD and Intel GPUs are fully supported through Vulkan, but expect 1.5-3× longer generation times on same-tier hardware.
  • Low-VRAM systems will feel slower on AI-heavy features. Text and audio translation still work well.

If your hardware is below the minimum, translations will be noticeably slow. Please be sure your system matches the requirements before buying so you get the best possible experience.
