Game Design and Gameplay Overview

Since launch, we’ve received a lot of valuable feedback from players. We’ll draw on it as we continue to improve the game. Some comments have also made us realize that we may not have explained the game’s design and intended playstyle clearly enough, so we’d like to share a few key points:

• Ved: Recure combines action combat with roguelite buildcrafting. If you’re used to focusing on just one of these, it may take some time to get comfortable using both together.

• A well-built Buff Chain can greatly increase your damage and even restore health. Against tougher enemies, though, you’ll still need to watch their attacks and find the right moments to defend and strike.

• Parrying and dodging are essential for dealing with consecutive attacks. Compared with some more demanding action games, their timing windows are relatively forgiving, and you can cancel one into the other to respond flexibly. If you’re struggling with a tough enemy, try Easy Mode! Its red warning cues can help you anticipate incoming attacks. You can also use the Training Grounds to learn enemy attack patterns before taking them on again.
