What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I’m a solo developer, and Pixelorbit has grown into a large project with many connected systems: loot, crafting, ship upgrades, skill progression, quests, combat balance and endgame build-crafting.

Early Access allows me to bring players into the process before the full release, gather honest feedback, and see how different people approach the game. For a progression-heavy Space ARPG, that kind of real gameplay data is extremely valuable.

My goal is to keep improving Pixelorbit with the community: refining balance, expanding content, polishing systems, improving the Steam demo/feedback loop, and making sure the game develops in the right direction before the full launch.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Pixelorbit is planned to stay in Early Access for approximately **6–12 months** after its Early Access release in **October**.

As a solo developer, I want to keep this timeframe flexible. The exact length may change depending on player feedback, balancing needs, additional polishing, and how much extra content or system improvement is required.

My goal is not to rush the full release, but to use Early Access to make sure Pixelorbit is stable, fun, well-balanced and content-rich before leaving Early Access.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Pixelorbit is planned to expand and refine the Early Access version based on player feedback and development progress.

During Early Access, I plan to improve balancing, polish existing systems, fix bugs, add quality-of-life improvements, and expand the game with additional content such as new items, quests, enemies, events, modules, Extras, Mods and Passives.

The goal for the full version is to deliver a more complete, stable and content-rich Space ARPG, with stronger build variety, better progression, smoother gameplay and a more polished endgame experience.

I’m developing Pixelorbit with the community, not just for them. Player feedback will play an important role in shaping what gets improved, expanded or adjusted before the full release.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Pixelorbit already includes the core game systems, a large amount of equipment, ship customization, loot, crafting, quests, combat encounters and long-term progression.

Depending on difficulty and playstyle, players can expect roughly:

**Easy:** 30–40 hours
**Normal:** 50–75 hours
**Hard:** 100+ hours

The core experience is already playable and content-rich, but there is still room to expand, balance and polish the game further during Early Access.

My goal is to use community feedback to improve progression, refine builds, fix issues, add quality-of-life improvements and continue expanding the game over time.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. The current plan is for Pixelorbit to have the same price during Early Access and after the full release.

I do not currently plan to increase the price after Early Access, even as more content, polish, balancing improvements and quality-of-life updates are added during development.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to involve the community through Steam discussions, Discord, player feedback, bug reports and suggestions during Early Access.

Pixelorbit has many interconnected systems, including loot, ship builds, crafting, progression, quests and endgame balancing. Community feedback will be especially important for improving build variety, balancing difficulty, identifying bugs, polishing quality-of-life features and deciding which areas need the most attention.

I want Early Access to be a direct feedback loop between players and development. The goal is to build Pixelorbit with the community, not just for them.

About This Game

🚀 BUILD YOUR OWN COMBAT SHIP

Take command in Pixelorbit, a Space ARPG about loot, progression and building your own combat ship.

Fight through hostile sectors, collect powerful items, explore an MMO-inspired galaxy and shape your ship through Extras, Mods and Passives. Instead of following a fixed upgrade path, you create your own playstyle — stacking effects, modifying your weapons and turning upgrades into powerful synergies.

Start small. Find better loot. Modify your ship. Push deeper into dangerous space. Then watch your build escalate into an explosive endgame machine.

⚔️ FIGHT & LOOT

Engage in fast-paced PvE space combat against enemy ships, elites, bosses and dangerous sector threats.

Destroy enemies, collect loot and keep pushing your ship toward the next power spike. Every fight can bring new resources, stronger equipment or the next piece your build needs.

🔧 DEEP ITEMIZATION

Collect, compare and upgrade items across a large progression system with 500+ items.

Weapons, generators, modules and equipment can shape your stats, strengthen your build and open new ways to progress. Pixelorbit is built around ARPG-inspired itemization, where loot is not just stronger — it can define how your ship plays.

🛠 BUILD YOUR SHIP

Customize your combat style through Extras, Mods and Passives.

Change your projectiles, enhance your weapons, trigger new effects and combine multiple systems into powerful synergies. Your ship is not locked into one path — it evolves based on the choices you make.

🪐 EXPLORE THE GALAXY

Travel through an MMO-inspired space world filled with sectors, quests, asteroid fields, resources and hidden opportunities.

Mine materials, discover new areas, complete quests and prepare your ship for increasingly dangerous encounters. The galaxy is built for long-term progression, exploration and steady growth.

💥 ESCALATE INTO ENDGAME POWER

The early and midgame give you time to grow your build step by step — but the late game is where Pixelorbit explodes.

Synergies become stronger, effects become bigger and your ship can evolve into a screen-filling endgame powerhouse filled with projectiles, explosions, loot and destruction.
