About This Game

The Afterlife Cafe is a visual novel centered around death and traveling to the afterlife. Meet and chat with your guides at the cafes. Take a trip to the underworld and learn the stories of those who have passed. Stay above ground and juggle friends, work, and family.

In this game you can:

  • Make beverages at the cafes' self-serve kiosks

  • Get to know the cafe concierges

  • Travel to the afterlife and talk with spirits

  • Attempt to stay out of the drama at work

Conversation around death is a primary focus of this game. There are no visual depictions—only references by people who may have lost a loved one as well as spirits speaking about their lives in the past tense, sometimes in a carefree and playful manner and other times in a sorrowful manner.
