Varför Early Access?

“Early Access will allow us to get the game into the hands of gamers as quickly as possible. This will help us to enhance Brickstrike based on player feedback earlier in development and enable larger scale testing of critical game systems.”

“While we don't have an exact timeframe that the game will remain in Early Access, we are planning on a duration of about a year.”

“The Early Access version will allow us to validate the scalability of critical game features. Larger player counts per server, more expansive maps, and robust proximity voice chat are some examples under consideration. Additional community features such as leaderboards and an integrated clan system are planned. New gameplay additions like improvements to the weapon system, voxel simulation and game modes are also possible.”

“The game is currently playable, and we have conducted playtests on the rough beta version. The core gameplay components are all present, however much work remains to be done to polish and enhance the player experience.”

Brickstrike is being developed by Caleb Helbling, a former developer of the open source pyspades server for Ace of Spades (pre-Jagex). His work includes iconic game modes like Tower of Babel and Arena. Brickstrike is an evolution of that legacy - rebuilt for the modern era.
