Why Early Access?

“Early Access is a great way for me, a solo developer to get quality feedback from the community to help progress and develop the game even further. By gathering information from players I can fix more bugs and add better content that creates a more enjoyable and quality experience.”

“One to two years after Early Access launch.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“My goal in Early Access is to have players help report Bugs & Improvements. During Early Access I plan to fix all remaining bugs, finish optimizations for all aspects of current and future content, and improve gameplay flow and feel of the game. (I will also of course be adding content during Early Access.)

Some of these may already partially or fully be in the game

I plan on improving, adjusting and adding more sounds throughout the entire game. These can be interface sounds, ambient sounds, and environmental sounds. While many sounds are already implemented, I feel like good quality sound helps immersion.

I plan on finishing Swimming as well as adding some more water mechanics like oxygen and ice. I also plan on adding fishing along with this. (swimming is not a major part of the game.)

Farming (growing crops) is meant it to be a major part of preparing food for winter as well as crafting medicines. So this is a high priority and I hope to achieve this addition before EA launch.

Day/Night cycle and calendar year are currently in the game. I plan on the seasons having affects on temperature, vegetation, water, animals & moon phases.

I plan on adding a procedurally generated dungeon that goes ever deeper with bosses. Incorporate existing story line, loot, materials. (Possibly rescue NPCs which could get incorporated into city management depending on feedback from Early Access.

Other additions that may be added in future depending on player feedback:

- More mini dungeons/caves/pois

- Trader market closed instance

- Two different Horde/Attack events.
1. The human Imperium slavery faction attack event.
2. Procedural Dungeon creatures "cavelings" attack event.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“I've worked tirelessly to remove any and all bugs that I come across but it's always possible for something to slip past me. I've worked on many optimizations so the game can run well on older PCs.

I've created a custom detailed map that's about 500 acres or 2km sq full of harvestable resources: choppable trees, minable rocks, mineable ores, bushes/sticks/stones/edibles/vegetation that can be hand picked or harvest with a tool for extra resources (this includes underwater harvestable materials.) The map also includes a wide variety of realistic animals that can be hunted and then harvested for resources and food.

The player can use the resources they find or harvest to craft 100s of different tiered items like tools, weapons, armors, foods, medicines, building materials.

The player will need to rebuild several crafting huts in a destroyed castle village to gain access to crafting benches with specific crafting recipes.

The player can also level up their player level as well as over a dozen skills to unlock recipes. increase gather rates, and increase crafting times.

The player must maintain proteins, fats, carbs, vitamins, and thirst in order to survive.

The player can follow a main quest line to help guide them along their journey as well as many optional side quests.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Early Access pricing will be higher than the target launch price so I can reach a smaller group of more dedicated fans.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The Steam Forums are built into Steam and a great way for me to receive feedback in an organized manner. I would love feedback from players on their game play experience. How to improve the game with additional content and features. I would like players to attempt to break my game so I can fix it and also to gather statistics on how the game is being received.”

After escaping capture you discover a destroyed castle village with one desperate survivor. Help to rebuild the town for defense against known and unknown threats.
