About This Demo

Card battles meet mercenary collection — a distilled blend of roguelite strategy.

Gold and Graves is a roguelite deckbuilder where you collect cards and relics, bribe mercenaries, and escape mid-run to carry your progress into the next attempt. In turn-based battles, you must consider position and turn order — each fight plays out like a tactical puzzle.

This demo lets you play the tutorial and the first dungeon floor, and try core features like tactical combat, card synergy, mercenary bribery, mid-run retreat, and progressive strengthening.

The demo supports all languages of the full game and includes about 60% of the cards, relics, and mercenaries.

Position-Based Tactical Combat

This is not just a standard turn-based system.
Cards, positioning, and turn order — every choice matters.
A single mistake can wipe out your entire team.

In the chaos of unpredictable interactions,
you must restore order through strategy and foresight.
Only skilled tacticians will master this dungeon.

The demo lets you play up to the first floor of the dungeon.

Mercenary Recruitment System

Offer gold to enemies during battle,
and they’ll switch sides to fight for you.

Recruited mercenaries will join you in future encounters,
fighting under your command — sometimes even sacrificing themselves.

Who to keep and who to abandon is your decision.
Buy loyalty with gold, and push through the dungeon with calculated precision.

Only a limited selection of mercenaries can be recruited and used in the demo.

Farming and Escape – Failure Isn’t the End

This is not a traditional roguelike.
Failure doesn’t mean starting over from scratch.

If you choose to escape during battle,
you can carry over select cards, relics, and mercenaries into your next run.

Repeat farming and preparation to become stronger.
Better decks, stronger combos, deeper strategy —
victory is earned through iteration.

Progress from the demo carries over into the full game,
and acquired cards, relics, and mercenaries will be available after launch.

Endless Combinations, Infinite Replayability

 Each run creates new strategies.
Cards, relics, and enemies change with every attempt.

Failure is learning.
Find your own path, optimize your deck,
and make every run a new challenge.

This demo is just the beginning of your journey.
